  1. nice to put faces to names, hopefully next time we'll have a bit longer to chat. does that happen every time with a sudden rush to get off? seemed like a scene out of fast and furious with everyone moving out so quickly like that.... some nice supras there though
  2. hence the lol..... when he mentioned it had neons i thought, fine won't use them anyway, then the grief started from my mates[OOPS][/OOPS] i'm sure at some stage down the line i may[sAD][/sAD] get them working again...
  3. black supra, TRD badge on rear left, window down shades on head [COOL][/COOL]. went A33 roundabout-M4-A329M. I was the Green one was nice to have a fellow sup on that stretch
  4. looks like i need to buy some polish then, I may pop down depending on work, have period end next week which is always rubbish for me monday to wednesday, but will try to make it, will be good to meet you guys. shame the neons aren't working lol [OOPS][/OOPS]
  5. thanks for the advice guys, will give them a call. am based in reading so would be good to meet some fellow owners, when and where are you guys meeting next week?
  6. any recommendations on garages to carry out services in the reading area, need oil/brake fluid/antifreeze change? also any recommendations on what fluids to use cheers.
  7. :d :d :D needless to say i didn't get much sleep last night, picked it up and had a great drive home and took a few mates out in it. It drives like a dream, gave it the odd bit of power [sHOCK][/sHOCK] this is one quick motor, think I may have shat myslef a couple of times [sAD][/sAD], taking it easy for a while to get used to this power. really getting looks off people:cool: haven't stopped grinning all night, got an even better excuse now to go and see my sis in didcot, which i will set off soon the best bit of last night - taking my mates for a spin, empressing them with the power, went to put some tunes on (mark left copies of cd's in the car) only to be confroted with Super Trooper by ABBA....classic, certainly got a few laughs, cheers for the warning mate[OOPS][/OOPS]
  8. did karate for 10 years gaining dan grades in Goju-Ryu and Gendo-Kai, also dabbled in combat sombo and ju-jitsu for a few years For the past 6 years I've been training in Systema (Russian Martial Art) and teach it in maidenhead if anyone fancies popping over. Getting hit by the general of spetznaz makes you put things in perspective:blink:
  9. cheers for welcomes, check came back clean as expected, only the odd thing you'd expect with a car this age but no concerns. The guy reckons it's been well taken care of so cheers greenpeace and mark for letting me get my mitts on it:D a very marked difference compared to the last one. picking it up tonight after mark's polished it up for me (wouldn't want to deny him that pleasure), that's going to be one nice drive on the way home!!! just in time for the sunny weekend. see you guys around razza
  10. calendar? not surprised to be fair, already have a pic as my wallpaper at work!! need to be driving this beauty soon.....
  11. must say I originally had my heart set on black and possibly a manual, however seeing this soon changed my mind, like you say it's rare to see one in this colour, I'm sure I saw it the other week drive past the cunning man in burghfield as I was debating about an M3 (was that you mark or jaymdee?), saw it (and heard it) then made me snap out of the stupid moment and remember what it's all about... it's also nice to get a car that's been looked after by people who care about it and members of this forum, and from what I can see it has done so. yes it's greenpeace's old car, I now feel I need to get my own name for this beauty and totally understand his forum name[COOL][/COOL]
  12. thanks for the welcomes guys, to see pics go to the classified section and check out the green facelift auto tt postings. it's even nicer in the flesh!!! going to get very little sleep tonight thinking of it:blink: you were also very true about the house, we've just sold our place and looking for a new house:search: , however I've obviously been diverted from that mission onto this one (much more fun in my opinion!!!). it all happens at once....
  13. hi all, I've just bought marc's tt (thanks mate!!!), and it is a lovely motor:d . just waiting for the tests to go through tomorrow hopefully(really don't think there's any issues with it as it looks well maintained and looked after, but once bitten and all that) sure it's mearly a formality but peace of mind. Really can't wait to pick it up and surprise the missus when she gets back from china [GRIN][/GRIN]. it's the best I've seen, well and truely happy!!!!!!!! so you guys should see a lot more of me on here (just waiting for membership to go through) and hopefully around, although the neons may have to be left off for now.... Cheers razza
  14. Hi, am looking to use Top Spec imports to help get me car I'm after and wondered if anyone's used them? If so have you got any feedback, i.e. what were there service like, was the car what you expected, any issues with them or the motor? Mainly interested in the service they have provided as obviously looking to spend a fair amount of money through them. Thanks in advance for your replies.
  15. getting deposit back, he reckons he wants to keep it know anyway, "or if I did decide to sell again I wouldn't let them RAC test it" says it all really. although it's already back on the market (see links below) This is the motor, I'm a newbie so can't post on the classifieds forum yet, can someone stick this on there as a warning to others. Got full report and it's a shocker, pretty much every panel has been repaired and has some serious issues throughout the car, saved myself some serious money there, well worth the report but he must have known what the results would be anyway which pi$$ed me off wasting my money. Next time I'll get them to pay for the report and if clear I'll pay it on top of the price of the car, if they don't agree then they've obviously got something to hide. live and learn.... http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/cars_search.asp?nU=0&make=TOYOTA&model=SUPRA&min_pr=10000&max_pr=11000&postcode=rg30%202hd&miles=40&max_records=50&modelexact=1&photo=1 or: http://www.mercurysportscars.co.uk/GetDealer.do?did=20530&pageid=1 and the brakes are far from new...... p.s. am in the market for a black TT not bothered on transmission, don't want a highly modified one
  16. Hi all, was just about to break into supra ownership and luckily got a vehicle check done, in the mechanics words "you'd be walking into a minefield"[sHOCK][/sHOCK] luckily got this done otherwise would've cost me a fair wack in a short time, plus had been in a serious crash he thinks (both rear panels were mainly filler for starters) where do I stand with deposit before I start getting on his case, want to check my standing? luckily only put £100 down. cheers D.
  17. just got a quote through sky and was £631+£35 for guaranteed value, fully comp (value about £10.5k). am 28, 9yrs no claims (with a crash last year) on a black 1993 gz twin turbo aerotop with non standard alloys,K&N air filter, with £2k of ICE in it. car is kept off road, not in garage. this was way cheaper than other quotes from elsewhere of £1200+. dealt with graham, will be going with them when I pick up the new motor this week, my first supra, dream motor!!!
  18. Hi, am just about to break into supra ownership, would like leather seats (not essential but a nice luxury) but am looking at a few rz's with cloth seats, how much would it cost to get leather's fitted, or the seats retrimmed in leather? and any recommendations on where to source or go to? Cheers.
  19. just seen crotia's crutch...... anyway i think tonights best performance has got to be terry, the man is a legend!!! lol!!!
