  1. Ive tried it without the plugs but its not flashing at all the light comes on and stays on. Incase anyone asks I have took the handbrake off so it will not stay on with that.
  2. Ive a couple of question I took my ECU out the car and was out for about 30 mins will it have reset. And also, I have my plugs out at the minuite waiting for new ones, can I still do a fault diagnosis or will it nut work because the coil packs are not connected.
  3. Needed plugs for my Supra and only worked along the road from Halfords so thought id just get them from there. Well that was until they tried to rip me off. For standard plugs they tried to charge me £90.00 And wait for it for DELUX plugs as they put it they wanted almost £22.00 each. Daylight robbery I think. So I ordered some from Envy Performance.
  4. Thats what I did and they came out a dream. After that I just got the screws out with mole grips. Ive just got some 5mm allen bolts to replace them from the work and they fit a treat. ive ordered my plugs today and also 2 of those connectors that go onto the top of the coil packs. i only need 1 but thought id better get 2 didnt want to tempt fate. once I get it back together, hopfully I can get it to tick over so I can check the air/fuel ratio. its a lovley sunny day up here and the Supras in my garage.
  5. Youve got me thinking now mate but then again NO certainly didnt put desiel in. Another revolation ive found though is which ever prick that changed the plugs before I bought the car rounded all the coil pack screws off, i had a nightmare getting them out and on top of that when I cross referenced the plug number they were for a N/A and not a TT. Some people just dont care.
  6. Are the front oil seals a big job. Anyone got any instructions/ diagrams etc.
  7. Great links these thanks allot. My car has a Greddy E01 fitted. Am I right in thinking I could connect 1 of my anolog inputs from the external harness to the 02 sensor on the ECU and get an accurate reading that way. Think it would be handy to keep an eye on AFR anyway. Im ordering some connectors from Toyota tomorrow and also a rocker gasket. Im also ordering plugs. Not sure where from or what type though. any ideas. The car is not running at high BHP. It has an HKS exhaust with the rear cat removed, an induction kit and an E01 running at 1.0 bar. when its working that is.
  8. Is there anyone around Newcastle/Co.Durham that would fancy coming over and having a look for me im totally lost. Possably Map sensor, plugs, plug connectors, coil packs who knows
  9. It was dripping all over the threads loads of it.
  10. Just as a follow up to my last post my car is still ill. Ive just removed the coil packs and plugs. The plugs were conpleatly black with oil on them. The plug nearest the bulkhead was dripping with oil. Anyone know why this could have happened. Ive had a nightmare with it since yesterday.
  11. Ive just took my plugs out and they were all black but and abit oily but the 1 nearest the bulkhead was covered in oil. also when I uncliped the connestors fron the top of the coil packs 1 of them fell to bits. Any ideas and alos where can I get 1 of those connectors from
  12. Come to think of it, I also fitted my FCD incorrectly and this happened but this time ive got black sooty stuff from my exhaust when I rev it. I thought it could be the FCD so I disconected it with no difference. I tried to start it this morning it fired up but wouldnt tick over spluttery and lumpy and it stunk of what I think is petrol.
  13. Can anyone recomend some good plugs and leads ofr my j spec TT auto. And some prices if I can be really cheeky.
  14. anyone. im really stuck here
  15. Where abouts is that av you got a pic.
  16. The cars always ran great until now. It happened really suddenly. Spluttering, holding back, cutting out and some black smoke all down to a bust plug. Ive had the car almost a year and a half and only done about 5000 mile. But the plugs havent been changed since ive owned it. Anyone else think its the plugs. Dont wona splash out for plugs if its just a guess.
  17. Theres no lights on even the main fault lighthas not come on. If i rev it im getting some black smoke but i wasnt sure if that has anything to do with the injector treatment I have just put in. Ive read a few threads and some of them point to plugs and leads could a bust plug or lead cause all this heart ache.
  18. Was driving home from work tonight was doing about 20mph and my car has died. All of a suddern it lost all power, the revs dropped right down and cut out. When I started it again it cut out straight away. eventually when I got it going the revs were hunting, dropping really low to around 300rpm. I tried to put my foot down when I got it moving but at 1 point I had my foot flat on the floor and it went nowhere just spluttered with a bit of a backfire. I thought it may be some crap petrol as I didnt go to my usual garage when I filled up so I filled the tank up again and put some injector treatment in incase I had some grit in my petrol maybe a sticky injector but it aint working. Its still really lumpy and I cant go anywhere in it cos it just keeps dying. Whats wrong, it was perfect thisd morning. Please help
  19. So its nothing to worry about then. Im just afraid im gona turn a corner 1 day and my wheel and hubs gona pop out or something.
  20. definetly not mate its as if the wheel is skipping across the road.
  21. Im at a bit of a loss really. When I turn a corner slowly im feeling a judder from the front wheels. The car is lowered with stiffness adjustable struts and is on 19" braid alloys with 235/35/19 tyres. its a strange feeling like something is trying to pop out. has anyone had this problem or any ideas what it is.
