FOLLOWS baddies (on old horse/mule ?). MEETS nice laid-back older TRAVELLING GUNSMITH. [famous bloke / slightly larger / fair hair] The bloke teaches him to shoot etc. Young 'kid' finally ends up confronting baddies (derrrr). ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? FatS

OK, you guys have always been GREAT at coming up with names of TV series/films etc (TV NERDS !? . . perhaps it comes from HAVING to watch TV while the Soops in the garage/bodyshop/laid-up-for-winter ????? ) THIS may be more for the girlies ? :- There was a FILM and it was about a WAITRESS (well known actress ?). She sort of RUNS a small CAFE (restuarant ?) and it belongs to her FATHER/GRANDAD who sits around in there talking to his old mates ?? The BLOKE (sloppy love bit ) has to go in there cos he's lost/no wallet/late night ??? and i think she can't/won't leave the place cos of her father (Grandad?) While she's serving/talking to bloke the Dad/Grandad and his mates are talking TOO her and ABOUT her etc. Think she had Black/Dark hair and vaguely looked like Sandra Bullock ???? AMERICA (obviously !) Think the father/Grandad was famous too (errrr older Paul Newman-type ?) HOW VAGUE IS THAT ?!?!?!? Any clues ?? FatS. ps. It just BUGS me when i can't remember an old film/song etc . . . you know ??

. . . . . i've joined the "BIG-FAT-BLOBBY-OMEGA" Owners Club ! !

i THINK if they 'write it off' they effectively 'buy' the whole car off you . . . it becomes THEIR property ?!? You have to ASK to buy back the scrap vehicle. AND i think SOME companies now WON'T sell it back to the owner ??? they prefer to pass it to their own disposal company ?? If you mean can they MAKE you 'write it off', well i know years ago you could argue that you wanted your car REPAIRED, and i know sometimes they eventually WOULD. [not sure if they HAVE to or not though ?] . . . . . .MAYBE ?
-
without trolling thru the posts . . . Have they offered you a buy-back-scrap value yet ? [or rather, have you enquired !] I'd buy it back and drive it as it IS ! ! ! Whatever the value, it's STILL a TT Perhaps I'LL buy it OFF you for the 'SCRAP' Steve-ARTHURDALEY-W

Sorry Jake, i meant compared with 'modern' 'ordinary' transport as opposed to like-for-like-Supra moneywise ??? ie. mediocre Focus/Mondeo, High-Mile BMW etc ??
-
Alright, i don't like the Rear spoiler OR the front one come to that, but, just the fact it's 'new'-ish and 'fresh'-ish [and, not THAT dear for what it is really ?????]

Don't remember a Rover or vehicle ?? They zipped/zoomed to places (/times?) and can't remember HOW they zipped exactly ! ! How vague can i be ??? It's NEVER been reshown that i know of. (but then, it wasn't anything spectacular) Just bugging me, no-one at work remembers it, but they're mostly too young.

No, Tommorow People was UK and kids. Sliders was similar but much later (late 80's/90's ??) This was much earlier / American ??
-
ANOTHER of those "does anyone remember . . ." posts DOES ANYONE REMEMBER . . . a sci-fi series from late 70's/early80's (?) about a group of people (3-5 ?) who did the Sliders/Time Tunnel sort of thing. I can only remember it vaguely (BIG help !!) but seem to think they were on an Island {result of a crash or something} and they found a 'thing' a bit like a small Apollo re-entry vehicle (??) Each week they would end up in a different time/place (JUST like Sliders/Time Tunnel ??) I remember a BOY amongst the 3/5 people and can see his face (quite well known) but can't identify him I remember it being on ITV/CH4 ? on Saturday afternoon/ early evening ???? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? How vague is THAT then ??? Any takers ??? FatS

Anybody tried LED's in the SIDElights ?? ie:- http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/product.php?productid=16467&cat=612&page=1 OR, even HALOGEN 501's ??? :- http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/product.php?productid=16679&cat=597&page=1 I think the PRICE of the halogen ones is a tad high (although probably 'justified' ??) It SAYS those particular LED's are WIDEpattern so should be OK for SIDE lights ? ? ? FatS.

Hi rovervi Steve has some sound tracks of the Nur with and without the baffle in. I will ask him to post them later when he gets home. I drive it to work every day, it sound really meaty!!!! There is a problem though when the revs are at 3,000, the noise is a bit much without the baffle in. Motorway driving is a bit of a problem..... you can't hear a bl**dy thing. Mind you it sounds awesome going through tunnels at 3,000 revs Also not found any problems with loss of back pressure or loss of power!!! Cheers Carole
