Of late Darren has just been inspired! Broadband soon then will send you SOME pics. He is overworked having to sort out his own car before returning to mine. We have got just about everything to finish mine so hopefully a few weeks! Have sat in the new seat (The one that matters to me ) and D. has centred it perfectly. It was a worry. Have bought the stereo which he is doing next week. (Drown the exhaust) Really cannot wait to sound off with Leonard Cohens "I lit a thin green candle!!!" P

I think I'm up to 57 now......hows my percentages? I'm not quite as new as you think. I have had a watching brief on these pages for the last three years with my Brothers membership. God I miss Dude! The excitement ...the wind ups.....the verbal duels. I think I'm getting the hang of this!!!

Jake.... You have my complete sympathy. We have a crank that we have spent a year trying to get bearings for. I am not in the least bit mechanical but..... When I read the manual it states quite clearly that there are a number of different size cranks as standard. It states quite clearly there are a number of different size blocks as standard. It is as clear as mud to the unitiated which bearing goes on what. Clevite would appear to make the right sizes but do not describe them in Toyota terms. For our own crank we have asked dealers on this site and none are particularly helpful. In the end we have sent it to an American engine builder outside of the Supra community. If you are in any doubt .....don't

Yep, I could not agree more. After a while the boss finally separates the "company money" from his own money. He can be rich and the company poor. If he has worked his way up to a new car and has part exed his , for example,an 80k Porker then he has "only " spent 50k of which 30 may be over ,say ,three years. In which case he has "only" spent 20k. Would you if you were in his position pay out 15k to the staff? (Tax and employers contribution) It could be he's an arsehole that has spent the investment money, tax money, VAT and next years profit on the car in which you have my sympathy. My work colleague Graeme who will become "famous" on these pages worked for another company before joining us. He was convinced the boss was making a fortune. Convinced!! When that company was sold it had so many debts the sale price just covered them and the "Rich Boss" went to work for someone. I am NOT saying you should not feel hard done by but........ I've said my bit on bosses.

My you are an emotional person . My opinion is as valid as anyone elses on this forum. I do not use age as an "all access pass" to be accepted by all. My opinion can and often is flawed. It is interesting to hear alternative, well reasoned opinions. I'm sorry you have had "enough" crap from the oldies at work. Still look on the bright side we will all die soon enough and you can inherit the mantle of "Oldie" I am not at all passionate about football. I,apparently like you, cannot understand why people get so upset about it. Still in all things one should try and retain a sense of perspective and humour eh!

I totally agree with you and it is a very easy situation for "management " to get into. Unless they are from the shop floor they can be a bit dense. The people we do business have been through a similar process, relevant to their industry. I have had meetings with my contacts and discussed how it will cost managements more long term. Even as we speak quality is returning because to do the job properly is cheaper ,long term, than to do it badly. It has taken 4 years. If you feel the way you do you must put it into writing. With figures. and follow your report through the command chain. The 10 Mill. had to come from somewhere and my guess is,if its a buy out its borrowed from future profits which must be maximised to pay the debt. If you can "show" the savings that can be made even the thickest boss will change.........and hijack your ideas like they were their own but hey thats life.... good luck

No TBOURNER I am not arguing about anything. There is nothing to argue about . My friend Graeme ,who I have mentioned before is a Hotspur fan, has a number of "sayings" in relation to sport. One of which is " A win is a win" .......remember he is a Tottenham fan. He is unfortunately on holiday this week to avoid being at work if the season went pear shaped and he did not win his bet...again. Which it did. As far as I can see from the Tottenham Hotspur fans I have met they are perfectly wonderful people until you mention Arsenal. They then become snarling beasts and with contorted faces they begin to lose all rational thought and attempt to convince anyone listening that black is white. .....just an observation of someone having been on the planet longer than most on this site.. Personally I am not that interested in football. I prefer Drag Racing. Still TBOURNER whilst you believe I am "Arguing about this shite" and in your mind my age has some pertinence to the matter...I believe I have lobbed a few choice, well chosen, mildly humourous observations into the fray...... And therin lies the difference in our ages
