  1. What is the quickest and fastest 6 speed Supra over the quarter running on PUMP GAS? We need a target. Peter
  2. Well today is the day we enter the homeward straight.......possibly......and being the cynic I am I can still see a few hiccups before fire up day. After two years of faffing and learning the short motor is being picked up from Yorkshire today. Everything balanced ,bored , braced and bolted, honed ,strengthened and straightened, cleaned , coated and cranked. This bottom end should NOT let go. 'Course now its coming back Brother Darren is going on holiday for two weeks........after two YEARS I can wait another few weeks.......honest. Darren has as much time off work as necessarry to finish the rebuild so we are looking at running at Drag Racing this year. We will still run it on PUMP GAS (Optimax ) only. No NOS Does anyone know what is the quickest time is for a UK 6 speeder on pump gas? We need a target!!!! All we have ever run with the car years ago was a 12.26 at 122mph. will keep informed with piccies of the engine bay!! Peter
  3. Darren and I had a recent "testing" session with this Supra and the Nissan. They turned out to be the quickest cars he had. Nothing changes really> Peter
  4. No Lee .....its a Supra........or have I missed something? Don't know what bonnet it is Bro organised its purchase. Apparently I (he) " needed it ". Still it looks nice . Its painted black with the "Supranatural" reversed out in carbon. Peter
  5. Please look in Multi media under Pump Gas Petes bodywork oictures
  6. I have this bonnet on a black Supra. I painted mine. Peter
  7. I would not have bought a "stock" supra. My attempts at moving items like pictures around on a computer are legendary in my own mind. Pictures of a modified wide body trd are under Pump Gas Petes bodywork pictures in Multimedia. They include the modification to the bit Ii REALLY disliked on the trd , the front wing vent. peter
  8. I am all in favour of Pete's idea. An excellent suggestion. Peter
  9. The Truth, Thor and Darren and I are ultimately BOTH at fault. Pete COULD have picked up the 'phone and fixed the problem .Or not. We COULD have picked up the 'phone and fixed the problem. Or not. We are both at fault for using e-mails instead of voice. We BOTH are at fault for allowing it to rumble. Sometimes we are all blind to the obvious. We are all losers thereby. Peter
  10. Unfortunately most of the scammers on the net use bank transfers to perpetrate their schemes. As it is always buyer beware then you are correct that is MY choice. If you still cannot understand why people are reluctant to use bank transfer then..........Logic - for when the sales team screws it up
  11. A lesson in sales. I sold a kitchen , direct sale, in a house donkeys years ago. Job done , dusted sign here please. "Has it got a waste bin?" I was asked. "No" said I but you can have one. How much said customer. £25 said I ....HOW MUCH ????!!!!! Said mortified customer. "mmmm " she said "well if the bin cost 25 how much is this base unit......and this......and that..".... The bottom line is she did not buy. Terminator .......I had no problems with your £150 price including pp. I have no problem with racelogic products. I had a problem with the 4%. So instead of accepting £144 gracefully you have to put it on e-bay ....pay e-bay to list it and risk a sale for £116. We cannot always get what we want but hey a salespersons life is not always a happy one. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
  12. I like carbon bonnets......apart from the fit. However I think they should be toned down a bit. Mine is painted black with a little carbon showing through to let everyone knows what it is.
  13. I have to confess I am not a great lover of the Police. In spite of having a foster brother who ended up being a senior Police officer and a class one driver. In his early years (and mine )Police Officers were allowed to exercise "common sense". There were times when my ears were chewed off for some misdeameanour like chopping a right turn or drifting over a white line. To this day I do not do either. Times have changed and speeds and traffic volume has increased beyond belief since those halcyon days. Human nature, however, has not changed. Young people and some oldies will still try to "prove" themselves against another. This is human nature.. The more the state restricts "competition" in schools , football , cricket swimming etc. the more youngsters will try to prove themselves later in life in cars and on motorcycles . The state imposes more and more restrictions to try and "save" them from living and dying . The more restrictions the more the Police are disliked. Young Police officers are taught that they are the upholders of the law. The uniform must be obeyed. Most people on this site will come into contact with the Police only with regard a motoring offence. No matter how trivial the policeman will go for a conviction. Youngsters who make a genuine mistake will get points and a dislike of the police. (I personally would use the word hatred but I am being nice about this) Young people DO NOT have the "common sense" connection in their heads when driving. You cannot batter it into them. You cannot fine it into them and you cannot ban it into them. Take them off the road too early and they will never learn to drive well and safely later. What has this to do with street racing? By any definition we all do it. Whether you are beating the bus away from the lights to a full on race on the public highway ......somewhere in there is all of us......including the Police who, if you watch the Police Camera type programmes enjoy their "legal" street racing as much as all of us. And my points.... Any one who loses a loved one to a premature death has everyone on this sites sympathy. NO amount of rule making can eliminate the risk of living. The dangers of street racing is in the eye of the beholder...in this case polce officers. They COULD apply "common sense".....They could have a quiet word.....They could issue a warning that if they caught him again...... Instead they are taught to issue the summons. The guilty verdict is issued by a 20-30 something year old bloke in a uniform whos judgement may be at fault but.....how do you Prove beyond reasonable doubt that his judgement is wrong? and what you were doing was safe in the circumstances. You cannot.
  14. Esteemed Sibling Rival..... Wots the matter ? are they ignoring you? Still never mind think of the future.....its BLACK
  15. Esteemed sibling rival known as Darren J Adams please do not be a cheapskate on my behalf......buy new! I'd rather buy from Racelogic direct than get involved in 4%s P.G.P.
  16. the "truth" is what I believe is true. If I "believe" then I really do not mind who tells me. Are you prepared to name this bast''d liar so we can sort him out? Happy weekend all.
  17. MMMMM...... We have several cameras on the way to work. One of them,The only death I know of was some years ago , right at the beginning of speed camera placement. Its still there. There is another sited on one of the steepest hills in London. Downhill natch. It is 2oo yds away from a bridge.....a suicide bridge....regular. Suicides will impact the road and presumably become a road death. I am not joking. There is now a new specs camera in the vicinity. The speed limit is 20 miles per hour. 24/7. The only death down this piece of road was when one of the "specially trained, expert," police drivers ploughed pedestrians at the crossing. It is a regular arguement that if you stick to the law then there is no problem. This is true. It would be easier to "stick to the law" if the goalposts stayed still. (mixed metaphors.....luv em!) The truth is I have seen speed limits lowered whilst the technology used in vehicles improve out of all recognition. 70 mph in a merc. van now is NOT the same as 60 mph in a Bedford CA. The standard of driving is lower now than in yesteryear. We have, now , drivers so nervous about being caught by cameras for some petty infringement travelling so slowly they are asleep, creeping around the roads paying about as much attention to their surroundings as a speed camera does to its victim. THIS cause accidents. Unfortunately I have to go and do some work. But this is one subject that REALLY Ps me off. And unfortunately it is also a subject that brings out the sactimonious "I never speed" brigade that believes the State has every right to interfere with every aspect of our existence as "they know best". As a matter of interest I was taught not to walk out in front of cars on the grounds being hit would hurt. I was responsible for my OWN safety. I was 11. As that responsibilty has been taken over by the State in the form of 20 mph speed limits near schools for teenagers up to sixth form you find the stroppy little shites stroll in front of you inviting you to clip them. Are they not responsible for their own safety? Got to go ...will return Monday
