  1. Hi guys, Well the day has finally come. I need to sell the Supra for several reasons - I've got no room to keep it and I can't afford the insurance at present. I also need to raise some money in a hurry! It's listed on eBay but I'm open to offers. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280614674462 I've made met a lot of decent people through this club, so will still say hello from time to time! Regards, Scott

    Dunstable Cars

No, but I only live a few miles away so can pop in and check them out if you want.
  3. I'm selling off all the bits I've got lying around the house/shed on eBay. I'll be updating the listings with more and more stuff over the next few days. There is a right mix of stuff, including some Supra parts. eBay Listings
  4. Whilst you've got more than enough opinions I've done the last 15k miles on mine with no BOV without issue too.
  5. Congratulations mate, hope it's all smooth sailing
  6. I remember people getting go-away quotes from Toyota of over £1k for a clutch change! I don't understand the problem someone else mentioned earlier with the cambelt; it's a relatively quick job
  7. Thats a job I definitely didn't enjoy on my ST205 either. I just dropped the engine and box out the bottom and split them though. Amusingly the clutch lunched itself later whilst I was away from home. A local garage looked in their book and quoted me £200 + parts to change it. I bit their arm off, they did it and to be fair to them they honoured the quote despite it taking them a lot longer than they thought it would
  8. It's been discussed at length on other forums and insurance people confirmed that whilst they can wriggle out of paying everything they will still be liable for 3rd party payment in the event of no RFL and/or no MOT. There is a lot of scaremongering about it, but it appears to actually be very difficult for an insurance company to negate their 3rd party commitments. As long as the insurance company are still covering 3rd party responsibility then you obviously have insurance and cannot be prosecuted for not having it.
  9. Benefits is a very generic term. A large amount of the country receive benefits for a wide range of reasons - not necessarily simply for bills, food or clothes.
  10. To be honest the message comes across as a bit of a confused one to me.
  11. API limitation annoys me. As a developer (amongst other things) I like the fact that on a droid I can do pretty much whatever I like. Even RIM were better than that and didn't charge me a fortune for access to restricted APIs. I guess this platform is targetted at the exact opposite of me since I don't use xbox live or any MS server products either!
  12. He's not trying hard enough! That said I've already pegged mine as being pretty much worthless at 240k miles.

    Ace cafe meet

LOL, thanks. No-one ever believes I can fit that entire PA rig - speakers, lights and all in the Supra. Just.

  15. 130k miles isn't high mileage IMHO. For that budget I wouldn't recommend a single conversion unless you are handy with the tools and get lucky with buying parts.
  16. SE weren't up for negotiation in the slightest unfortunately; they didn't want payment by installment either. I've not yet paid them...
  17. I had a 2k electric bill for a quarter turn up a while back... I was shocked - it was massively up on the 200/qtr I was paying, and the only thing that had changed was that the electric company had replaced all the exterior power lines and did some work in the meter cupboards
  18. That tool is genius, well done!
  19. I've got 4 UK wheels in the garage doing nothing but I've got a feeling they would need tyres
  20. Thats what I was trying to say. UK-Spec ECU + UK-Spec Loom: Install resistor pack Install 550s Install MAF Do *not* try and run your car from the 440s with a bypassed resistor pack with a UK ECU.
  21. This thread might be of some use for the resistor pack bypass: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=572776 If you're running the UK Spec ECU on a J-Spec you will definately need the 550s (simply bypassing the resistor pack is not enough - the UK ECU is designed for the bigger injectors which will result in you running lean and potentially killing your engine if you bypass and use 440s) the MAF and the resistor pack. Other differences such as the second O2 sensor and the EGR system can be ignored.

    FAO Rays the Roof

They will unfortunately probably just tell you it's a civil matter...

    FAO Rays the Roof

We shouldn't have to but if you guys don't at least get your original parts back from Ray and your cars are off the road as a result then I'm sure some of us will have bits kicking around we can donate. For example I think I've got a set of the hard vac pipes in the garage collecting dust.
  24. Having just sworn at mine, I used the starter motor to whip the bolt off, then I used one of these pullers + shock to remove my pulley: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00947626000P Making your own is simple enough if you can't find one. I had major problems in that the threaded bolt holes on my pulley wouldn't hold but hopefully you won't have that issue!
