  1. I have an Apexi air filter and not sure if a stock air box would cause any grief. It's just by the chassis leg. 30 second job.
  2. Yep its relatively easy. You should be able to see the plug next to where the steering column meets the rack. Access from the top. I'm not sure if there is a connection to the pump, I've only got experience with the connection to the rack.
  3. Can you feel the engine switch from single to twin turbo? I had an issue with the IACV. Tested OK cold, but once warm it was intermittent. It steadily got worse and worse. The actuator is in a pretty warm place.
  4. How do you get any sort of negatve camber on the front with that level of caster though?
  5. Errr no thats not what I wrote. It leaves the ps in its default mode which is lightly assisted as if the car is being driven at motorway speed. Without ps I think you would struggle to drive the Supra safely. I personally think you should just get used to it as the speed sensitive rack isn't that bad. I've driven mine in the default mode above and it feels OK until you need to throw a quick arm of opposite lock on and then you're going to struggle.
  6. It's a speed sensitive rack. Just pull the plug off the top of the rack near the column. That leaves it in fast (light assist) mode. Also worth checking what speed signal the ECM is receiving. If it's receiving a 5/8ths signal (mph) then it over assists. Mine felt much better when I sorted this.
  7. Why not just ring your local fitters? £15 each is more realistic for a 'decent' garage.
  8. If you were to pull the front cam adjuster in and the rear cam out you would in effect move the bottom ball joint forwards. The hub centre would move forwards roughly half this distance. No idea if this is what you are measuring though.....
  9. Not in the true sense. The King Pin Inclination is however, which is commonly referred to as Caster.
  10. I'll take this for £25 if it's still available. I could probably collect this week sometime on my way home depending on where in Northampton you are. Thanks Martin
  11. More images attached to original post..... Highest bidder by the end to the day wins!
  12. I've already had a couple of offers in the region of what I'm after for these. Decided I'm going to leave these on here until the end of the week so everyone gets a look. Best offer secures. Calipers are located near to Milton Keynes but can post also. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks Martin
  13. That's a fairly aggressive setup there for the road. Do you find the rear end tramlines badly? I'm getting this with a not dissimilar rear geometry. Also interested to know how your inner edges hold out front and rear. Have no idea what you use your car for, so just assuming its a road car.
  14. Don't do what a styling bod did at an OEM I used to work for. In removing the drivers seat he decided to 'cut' the yellow wires that were hindering his progress. Nearly took his head off when the safety devices erupted! Its always adviseable to disconnect the battery before working on or around the air bag circuit just to be on the safe side.
  15. Love their early work, but you're right they've still got massive energy. Saw them at Brixton 3/4 years ago. I'd never seen a man pour (not drip) continous sweat off their nose before 'till that night. It was Keith obviously and no doubt fortified.
  16. Hi Chris, just checked my folder of info from when I measured them. Fronts = 40/44mm Rears = 34/36mm I have an instruction booklet for the fitting kit which quotes 98.5030.40 but don't think I ever matched that up with anything.
  17. Sorry, ambiguity clarified above!
  18. I've already packaged them back up into the garage now but have this pic also. They are pretty big. Would need 18" dia wheels. If you google DB9 images you should get a pretty good idea of size as well as the 4 pot F50 brake kit. Thanks for the interest Martin
  19. Wow you were quick on the button. Happy to accept your offer. How would you like to handle the exchange? Item is near Milton Keynes atm. Cheers Martin
  20. Calipers now sold thanks! Have been in two minds whether to sell these or not, but decided they should go. I have for sale a complete set of Brembo calipers from an Aston Martin DB9/DB7 Vantage. Came off a low mileage car whose owner wanted to change the caliper colour! They are monoblock construction instead of the usual 2 piece with through bolts. Much lighter than the UK spec calipers. The front calipers measure up similar to the F50 Brembo brake kit with the same piston sizes. The weight distribution on a DB9 is quoted as 50:50 with 355mm discs on the front and 330mm rear. In my mind these are ideal for a balanced Supra setup. To complete the kit you would need to purchase pads, discs and bells to suit as well as fabricate a simple adapter to mount the calipers onto the hubs. The calipers are of radial mount type. I have all the necessary pins and anti rattle plates to go with these. Any questions feel free to ask as I did quite a bit of research into completing this project a while back. As you can see from the attached pic they are in good condition. Offers around £400 Thanks Martin (more pics attached: rear pins and anti rattle plates as well as a dimension reference of the front caliper - Actual measurement aprox 28cm)
  21. Bought an active UK spec front spoiler off a member on here. I have used the aluminium apron, the plastic lip and the undertray. What you see in this picture is what is left. This includes the motor and linkage. Motor was working prior to me taking delivery, but have not used it myself. Make me offer. Not after much. Martin
  22. This came (unfitted) with my TT J-spec. I tried it on the car briefly, but did not suit me. It is a little shorter than a stock cat. My Blitz Nur spec tail pipe fitted flush with the bumper from memory. It has a built in restriction welded in so no need for a restrictor ring. It ran 1.2 bar on my car. Looks like somone has fabricated it from an original cat and welded in the flexi section. Not looking for much. Make me an offer. Thanks for looking Martin
  23. This steering rack came off my TT. I thought it had some compliance, but the replacement seemed similar. I also carried out some other work on the front end/steering which may have been the cause of the 'feel' issue I had. Would come with no guarantees however. Had it in the garage for a while now so starting to look a bit tatty. Not looking for much. Make me an offer....
  24. Hi Michel. A very noble service of you to offer your photography skills for free. I have found the following images from our group's trip last month. Somehow you managed to snap the Triumph 3 times (it only went out 4!) and mine only once (out of 16 laps). Will send you a PM with my mail address if you could be kind enough to send the images to me. Thanks in advance! 25. The discs have been skimmed Si. I think you are right with regards to the amount you have to brake on average around the lap, but there are quite a few heavy downhill braking zones. I also find it harder to warm and cool the car sensibly at the Ring.
