  1. Ah, excellent, a picture. The heating is generally playing up, fan speed knob doesn't work, rear screen heater comes on when I press the Auto button, that sort of thing. The light failure happened at the same time. Looks like I'm taking the dash apart again. Only the 8th time this year though.
  2. I'm sure I remember there was a faint glow around the knob (so to speak) of the temp control, i.e. the numbers didn't light up like the fan speed knob does. No pictures of the Audi, it would take a tripod set-up and long exposure to come anywhere near to photographing it. You can't see any Leds, they're tucked up in the plastic trim around the courtesy lights and rear view mirror, but they give a gentle red hue to the dash, especially when you reach your hand out to fiddle with the radio. A bit like a jet airliner cockpit (with similar fuel economy:mad: )
  3. Your belt is on the way out. Piece of piss to change it yourself.
  4. One. Should the temp control knob have any light? Mine is pitch black, coincident with the odd behaviour of my heater controls. Two. I also am lucky enough to have an Audi A6, which, whilst driving at night, emits a pale red glow to the interior from tiny little Leds in the head lining. Very nice, as it matches the dial colour. I want to achieve the same effect in the Supra but with green lights. I rigged up four little 12V Leds behind the rear view mirror but they don't spread any light at all, unless I hold my hand up to them. Does anyone of you electircal bods know the ref.code(say, from Maplins or similar) for a green Led that will actually project a pool of green light?

    Dyno Vid

http://enaddict.com/viewmovie.php?mid=24 Sounds rather aggressive. Hope this isn't "old news"
  6. How's it getting scratched then? are you telling me that Lisa Scott Lee and her girls have been "exotically pierced"?
  7. It's free, on t'internet. http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl/ You have to register to get all the updates, but that's free as well. I have all speed cameras and Burger Kings on mine.
  8. Use both, like this... CheckPOInt is also very good, it gives directional location of speedcameras, and counts down distance. Alerts are quiet though, especially in a supra.
  9. this one time.... I went "head to head" on a narrow lane with a young fella in his lightly modded Rover 100, and received a small scuff to my drivers side wing mirror. Oh how my heart soared to see, in that very mirror, the image of his wing mirror exploding into a hundred pieces and splintering down the road. Tough old things the Supra wing mirrors, you really have to go some to damage them.
  10. Bugger, I was about to post "Calm down Andrew, it's a commercial" Not him then! The only equity release thing I can think of is Carol Vordermann. Come on, give us a clue.
  11. Ooh blimey, I've done this before. Erm.. I think theres a screwdriver sized slot to prise off the plastic cover lens.
  12. Thats similar to mine, (I bought it off Pink Lady), but the one pictured here has a straight bar, mine has a slight kink upwards to clear the throttle body. The towers are identical though.
  13. Only way to be safe and sure is to change it all, sorry.
  14. I'm really, really sorry about this, but....
  15. Oh, I thought you meant, full of cheap drugs and ropey old prostitutes.

Was that the guy at Elvington, who kept beating me? It had a "hand crafted" aluminium bonnet.

How do I get someone to bet against me?

I haven't figured out the betting yet, I tried to bet on Mcanny today, but it returned the bet. ???
  19. Blimey, the lengths your flatmates go to to keep you out of their bedrooms at night!

    Rays supra is DEAD

Remember the pics of Peters car, that's all repaired now and that looked far worse. Were you speeding, honestly??? I don't honestly think it should be a defence killer in cases like these. Whether an approaching car is doing 50 in a 30 limit or 30 in a 50 limit, it's up to the driver pulling out to make a decision based on the oncoming cars speed. I don't see why, if an approaching car is over the speed limit, the driver of the car pulling out is immediately absolved of all responsibility. Always remember, all bus drivers are psychotic. It's why they apply for the job in the first place.

Yep, I'm still plugging on with my Scirrocco. Nostalgia you see.
  22. I'd love to do Donny, but times are hard, belts need tightening, and I've already shredded me tyres doing Croft last month, ...where I was the only Supra!
  23. My sills are all flattened due to my constant jacking, ooh er missus. By that I mean the metal downstands, the crimped bits. Are you saying, Chris, that the actual box sections will start to deform if I keep using my trolley jack?
