  1. You watch this space 11pm and this place will be dead ... LOL!!! no guys on here 10mins later all the guys will be back on here with " huh nothing special if you ask me" comments... And there will be no posts by the ladies ... too busy watching
  2. She doesn't complain But normally all i get is Hurry up the adverts have almost finished and whats even more frustrating is when they lean around you with the remote control to change channel LOL!!!
  3. Have to agree James my boy Normally TT Drivers Always having a dig at us NA Guys give it up guys
  4. MY MISSUS JUST RECKONS ITS BECAUSE I HAVE SHORT LEGS, AND ITS AN OPTICAL ILLUSION..
  5. £4k buys you a bag of crap And if anyone has a superb example on here for £4k you are selling your self short £5k and you'll start to get something decent Although prices in general for all Supras are plummetting dramatically sadly, Prices in the Jap Auctions are rising though thanks to the Russians , just means the UK traders are making less of a profit, the boom and heady days is finished in imports to a degree, hence why you are getting so much crap on the market, My mate is 42 now retired and lives in Spain and has a 50ft cruiser and a few mill in the bank as a result of 10 years of selling imports ( basically it was a license to print money with the price mark ups) Ebay etc has suddenly made everyone an importer Tread carfully and go to a trader with a good reputation , You may pay a little higher but you pay for what you get, Higher the price will mean grade 4.5, it will have low miles, be properly convertered blah blah My friends company is http://www.autobmc.co.uk I paid £6700 for mine in May 2005 and that was after looking at 13x crap heaps
  6. Car came with System I have put the stock air filter back on and the car uses more fuel and is not as responsive even with a new element in, quite gutless compared to the HKS . With the HKS kit and now the cold Air feed the car flys Starts around 4k then you hit the magic NA 5500rpm (Which is when they come on cam ) and she flys, I have a Manual car though although the book says nothing in it with a Auto , i've driven quite a few NA's as my friend has been importing Jap now for around 13 years, to date i've not driven one as quick as mine.. So a little bit of playing has been done back home in Japan I suspect, it came with a dyno read out of 250bhp Strange thing is though i still get around 36 mpg out of it on long runs (average 80 - 100) and 26 round town
  7. Just done the same on mine (cold air feed that is) Made a nice polished Ally Heat sheid in engine bay Then i was a bit of creative 1x house Gutter pipe "coupler "sprayed silver ( makes end of pipe look pretty below o/s indicator) 1x flexi pipe ( enters in engine bay where pipe on TT would) 1x more coupler sprayed silver on other end of flexi pipe by Air filter 2x large Hose clips from B&Q All that for a tenner and looks a puropose built kit oh and yes before you ask I did get a blue peter badge as a kid!! ha ha Know what you mean about the cold air feed The difference when you put a cold pipe on is quite amazing, you'd never think something so simple would have such an effect, particularly at night, The NA seems to really respond well to an Induction kit, providing that is you do the sheilds and pipes, The change in mine when i fitted the HKS kit was unbelievable, but i have a full 5in jp Trail system too so that helps..
  8. Same here Just in process tonight of trying to rig up something to mount my camcorder in the windscreen, Have a suction pad just rigging up some type of platform now Make your own dvds of all the meets etc If you use windows movie maker you can make edit etc etc your own movies Then buy the software from these people about £12.00 http://www.dvdsanta.com/ This allows you to then convert all your movies from Movie maker onto a DVD which will play in any DVD Player I've done some cracking films recently, you can add Music etc etc add titles ... brilliant If you have a tape camcorder its better as it makes the movie with your captures, you then drag onto a timeline and create your "own movie" See you Sunday, shame the missus will be driving my Supe there as i will be busy filming from the passenger seat. Dangerous or what !! letting her drive i mean.. LOL!!
  9. LOL!! Yeah know what you mean ... there were erm a few Bit of a funny show on the whole very different to the Castle coombe one but all the same not bad and some good track action for their first effort at Donny, although trade area could have been bigger, I think Donny will be the new venue as Castle coombe have noise issues, so hopefuly it will get bigger next year.
  10. Was a real sight to behold all those Skylines, real credit to their club.
  11. Had a fantastic day at Donny at Japfest 2 yesterday , Plenty of track action .. oh and there were about 7x Supras there ( from the other club) Didn't see any of our chaps there:( Tell you what guys, you think we do big convoys..... The Skyline GTROC were there, It was the biggest gathering of Skylines ever on a race track in the UK, Made our convoys look sad i'm ashamed to admit, My god there must have been easily 100+ there and when they went around the track on parade it was an amazing sight,, must say I felt a little green with envy ... Bet there trip home was fun!! But really looking forward to the Pod next week and our convoy from Toddington ( i'm filming it as can now made DVD's ) P.S Not that i'm a tight wad or anything and when owning a Supe Fuel shouldn't be an issue but I was amazed when I re-fueled It was a 200 mile round trip for me, I worked out my mpg, cruising at average 85 - 100 and i got 36.8 mpg, So I think the TT will stay on the back burner for a while longer...
  12. In 1973 i think they made bike front plates illegal, If you look at the old bikes the N/P would cut open a pedestrian like a razor blade Onthe Supe i have a small F N/P as as long as it can be read on the Police Auto regonision thingy you'll have no probs, This came from a Copper who just laughed when he saw mine, he said it would have to be a really piss bored copper that would pull me
  13. Bloody hell James... Welcome back to the fold mate!! Hope you have got rid of all those cob webbs off the Supe, Look forward to seeing you, What with Japfest tomorrow , Ace Cafe Tues nite and Santa Pod next Sunday with the convoy ( which i'm filming) its going to be a great week
  14. Gary, Reckon you and Geri need to move up this way!! LOL!! Great to see you each month.. dedication or what..
  15. Lui all thatr extra weight of that Polish is gonna slow you down... HA HA Defo King of bling ... Don't be late mate, Had a few probs booking in getting hold of Claire , but sorted now, I'm looking into getting us "originals" garaunteed passes for each month, Something i'm discussing with Claire, No offence guys / ladies with the term originals , what i mean is the people who have been going for years ( me since 1st nite) and also the people who intend going every month, Should cut out this ball ache each month of booking a space. watch this space
  16. Just wondered Doesnt painting the insides black take away the reflectors and make the lighting even worse than it already is ?? Hence why Toyota did them chrome.. Just wondered, But looks great though and some really stunning pics of supes in this thread, Credit to the owners I have the lovely "yellow" Jap lights... nice You polish them and a few weeks later back where you started
  17. Edge trim from RS i see... Used that on my heatsheild too, We use it on Data Cabinet lids for the fan trays and taht got me thinking... mmm would be useful stuff to edge a Heatsheild with.... LOL Looks good mate
  18. :p Sure do.. but perhaps you expect more when you've been in this scene for years, Bolney etc are the good ones, Nothing do to with the money Comments on other forums back up this was not good, Can't beleive people thought this was good.. Nothing personal guys,
  19. Saw your Supe there, Looked superb , even if it did get covered in crap as you had to park in a muddy feild with humps the size of mountains
  20. Bolney is an organised event and has history,,, try doing your research , I don't know ? for all I know most are the "new to the scene Jap enthiuast " who thinks 10 cars is a meet and his first Jap car is a TT and that qualifies them to be an expert on everything Jap When you've been doing it as long as most of us then we'll listen You mention organisation .. what organisation What sponsorship It was a crappy little meet in a muddy feild with VW's JAE , Japfest, etc etc they are the proper meets with Sponsorship Regarding Scoobies,, Boring mate... they hijack most shows and you just get rows and rows of the same thing, Almost Jap Mondeo man Great sound though .. usually followed by a big bang as they don't spend their money on the right mapping just making them loud and all the same seems to be the No 1 Rule I like Soobies, just a shame there are so many of the damn things, its taken away the appeal I don't need to justify my opinion of this show, It was as bad or even worse than the Sandown Park event last year, JP you do a superb mag... just stay doing that.. You mention carparks that are free They are the best meets to name a few Boxhill , Ace Cafe( now in its 5th year) Bolney Vilage (now in its 5th year) I'm not bitter , I just know a good meet So you carry on paying for these types of shite meets and we'll continue going to the good ones The good meets are free as its about us and our cars NOT ABOUT MAKING MONEY You pay for the shows because you get a whole day / weekend of Action Reading gave you nothing,, who is the mug ?? not JP
  21. At least Hickstead was a proper show, But even that was a little ... mmm Depends how old you are and if you "are new to the Jap scene and still wide eyes open with your first Jap car" . But to be honest if you've been doing this for as long as most of us you spot a good show and a shite show, This was crap, Nothing to do with money but think about it Santa Pod is £15 for all that action... Sorry what was at Reading apart from a handful of cars a VW Club ... I will happily pay.............. but not for that, Sorry where are all these people coming from that were supposed to be have been there, Cos when i was there late morning there were a handful of Supes and alot of Skylines, what did everyone suddenly appear out of the bushes ???
  22. Ah ha ... We have a TT boy, must be time to come in from the cold garage and have a warm up on the PC:p :p Ha ha Only pulling your legs guys ...
