    No More Supra

Hey I could be a NA forum Moderator... :rlol: :rlol: Trouble is i'd be here all bloody night with these comments
  2. Hi Gary Sorry to name drop but thought as People had seen your lovely Supe they'd know exactly what type of grille, Sorry if you feel you've been dragged in .. The ties are a quick mount i agree Personally though i think it would be better with proper brackets, something i will look into If Geri is anything like my other half i bet the spirited drives were with her behind the wheel .... ha ha Us guys would be worrying to much about stone chips... ha ha Got great footage of the Finale convoy, If you pm me your address i'll send you a copy, I did Lui a copy My missus was certainly putting my Supe through its paces on the drive up, But then she is a speed freak!! thats why she chose the RX8 with the Rotary as its revs to 9.5k ... LOL
  3. No probs matey, It WAS good to have a proper debate and question asking and views for a change, without the usual stupid comments But if Airflow was "that critical " you'd be driving around with Air scoopes on the size of JCB digger buckets attached to front of our cars, Trouble is so many threads are going off topic lately and offending many people, GTO thread an example, you look at some of the replies and you feel embarrassed, Some of it maybe made in jess I know... but to some people it is seen we are ganging up .. Everyone has views but the Supra is not the best super car in the world, they have just as many faults as the rest, we just seem to be narrow minded As i said you haven't offended me it was good to get some input for a change Thanks
  4. As its there line of business , would have thought it would be a tried and tested product so no come backs??? I think this Air flow business is taken to extremes though, how does half a number plate stop Air to your intercooler its not like its going to rob you of 100 bhp Look at modern cars with FMIC they have half a ton of the usual cheap plastic in front them Anyway not getting into a slanging match over bloody Air flow, The thread was about a grille and a contact if you choose to have one , its cheap , good product , I'm happy with it , and if you chose to buy one i'm sure you'll think its good value for money If you want one there is the web link

Never had handling issues, but then mine did have rock hard and i mean rock hard Ralliart springs, to the point it rattled your change in your pockets.. Speed humps were a 10mph affair When i first drove the Supra after the FTO it was like being on a space hopper.. Even standard FTO is hard ride but those Ralliart springs were something i can tell ya
  6. I found that 2nd day of ownership .... LOL
  7. So is the first cat on downpipe or are we getting this the wrong way round, I thought 1st cat was on downpipe and 2nd decat cat is just using the small bridging pipe further back on the system
  8. Cheers nice one Heard that alot, that the NA will be blo**dy loud if you remove both and not recommended for road use as would be unbearable 2nd cat should free up something though and perhaps change the Tone ?
  9. Maybe worth prospective buyers perhaps askng the company that has produced and sold 100's of these world wide are there any issues fitting them. It was made for the TT in mind to protect the intercooler It is good quality though and quite a clever fitting arrangement,
  10. Was yours a 2nd decat ? Any noticeable running changes or drop in mpg
  11. I have a Trail 5in system and that is damn loud, I am thinking of having Turbo fit do me a 2nd decat when they do my Custom Air intake tube, But i am worried too.. if it will be too loud, and horrible on the Motorway, its drones at 70 as it is so you have to sit at 80mph Lui has no cats in his Supe and still not a loud as mine, Think it depends on your system to be honest
  12. yep whole left dash out (only do this if you know what you are doing) If not one of the more techy guys on here would surely be more than happy to do it for a beer. Whole job should take no more than 1/2 hr and buy the Adaptor leads so no cutting and joining of cables (Halfords £10 ) You'll need the metal doube din cage c/w cubby hole trinket tray, Really easy if you know what your are doing, dash comes out in about 5 mins after a bit of stripping Blimey she must be short I'm only 5ft 7 (AND A BIT)... ( I HAVE SHORT LEGS!!) and have no probs.... even my seat is right back with my little legs so how the six footers get on in a Supe god knows
  13. there are 2x designs lattice and holes..
  14. and a nice big stone hole in it too The mesh is really fine, its a really good bit of kit, Very strong there are millions of holes on it As its US it would have been made probably for the TT anyway, £38.00 grille versus expensive Rad / intercooler ... not rocket science if it were me with a Intercooler up front Mr Lover has one on his TT and no issues, I doubt to be honest if it effects air flow at all, not that it is "THAT" critical for your TT its only a fine mesh Next people will be saying remove your F / Number plate it effects airflow.. what ever next.. Saying that the only car I know that you musn't mess around with N/plate position is the RX8 , The grille is fake the Air is drawn in much lower, so if you lower the Plate the car will run hotter and even on fan,
  15. Keep the square one "keeps the Jap theme" and makes it different, Have seen some of the guys on here have nice polished Alloy / stainless plate around the Number plate
  16. Clink on link Make Toyota Model Supra year any 95 etc then you will see the grilles they go on with ties yet you can't see them custom fit, 10 mins to fit delivery time approx 2 weeks
  17. Just taken delivery of my grille ( Same as Mr Lover ) Great bit of kit, certainly fills that silly big hole in the bumper ( I pulled a dead bird out last week when washing the car) Had to get longer ties though (300x3.6mm) as the ones supplied are too short, For those who don't know what they are have a look on here based in USA http://www.grille-tech.com Put in make Supra year Pics make it look huge not a flattering angle, but on the car it looks great and perfect size Baragin at about £38.00 delivered, Suprised some of the traders on here haven't purchased a few as would sell well here i'm sure
  18. That made me laugh, you gotta remember though most of the TT guys are BPU or more.. so that is why they are fast, "nearly" doubling their std bhp In standard form quick but not that bloody quick when you compare it to many modern cars, BPU .. yes very quick!! but then any uprated Single or TT car would be Don't get me wrong guys.. i'm defo not saying TT in standard is slow.. anything that is 4.9 - 5 secs 0-60 is quick, Anything that is 6 secs in the real world on the road is quick Just putting it into prospective with this TT vs NA thingy, With this driving experience being so good and us missing out If we upgraded and put a damn big single turbo on we'd be saying the same I suppose. But you can't compare a std TT with a BPU or more car , as thats not original Supra driving experience, its been improved upon.. if that makes sense. Anyway i just love the Supe and my 250bhp & 0-60 in 6secs is plenty for me. for the time being anyway I was there too mate in the JAE convoy with the best of them. there is only so fast you can go on the roads anyway, taking your bpu etc on a track then i bet that is fun, as would a modded Skyline etc etc etc All Supes are great in my opinion especially Aerotops... nice but yeah.. made made me laugh
