  1. Been making things again I was buggered if i was going to pay £86.00 + £8.00 postage on ebay for a incar windscreen cradle to film convoys etc So made my own and cost me nothing, This allows the passenger to just turn on and operate the zoom or The driver to just turn on and film at the press of a button , As its for convoy filming and cruises etc only straight ahead position is required most of the time ..... but i have made an attachement which allows sideways movement, This mount holds the cramera "rock solid" against the screen by the suction pad so no more shaky pics Basically I used a window / tile lifter cut off one end and made a cradle out of Alloy, incredibly light in weight too and stands just 8 inches tall Getting that Blue Peter badge as a kid has paid off again
  2. PM me or buy it now on ebay.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Supra-NA-Complete-Air-filter-assy_W0QQitemZ270098686023QQihZ017QQcategoryZ10428QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I have the whole set up inc all pipes its in the for sale section here, I want £30.00 +£10.00 p+p (not negotiable as thats peanuts for the whole lot) The only thing you need to do is respray the Air filter lid back satin black for the stock look as mine is silver, if that is the look your after The Air filter element isn't that old in it either I'm based in Watford 5 mins from either J5 / 6 M1 or £5 mins M25 J19/20/21a
  3. Nice pics, Was that pic taken early or later in the day ? as it is usually rammed full If the weather is great , Bolney is a fantastic chilled meet
  4. Car park is spoken for, Reserved strictly for cars that are showing etc etc, and that have agreed space with Daz and Lex as per previous years Dont worry there is an approx 1 mile or so strip down both sides of road for parking, If this is your first time to the meet the whole 1 mile or so strip is packed down both sides of road with line after line of cars Just make sure you don't park across any residents driveways though
  5. No offence but this is a respected and official meet now in its 6th year, Every year the villagers and Pub invite the meet back , Hence why no idiots are wanted there, and upmost respect is given to the little village. also this is why the Police are requested to make a show A pure static meet with respect for a very small village and tiny community, Those who know this meet and have been attending for years and years will know the ground rules, its not about someone telling other people not what to do, Basically as per every year if you want to rev your engines and do fly bys and burn rubber .. don't go to Bolney , Those new to the Bolney meet will have a fantastic day for sure .
  6. If you made templates extending yours you could get GRP ones made cheaply and they would be alot lighter and not rust like metal ones or why not just get another set and graft on the extra needed
  7. Times move on and each to their own i suppose Fashions change, TRD etc is flavour at the moment Alot of people who now own Supras are in early to mid twenties and forget that the old gits on here were buying Supes and imports probably before they were driving, The Veilside is a classic so to speak and was sinonimous (spell check) with the Supra , even back in 95 when the likes of Max power mag first introduced its readers to the Supra it was featured with a Veilside kit and they raved at this awesome looking car from Japan, You'd be amazed out there how many people actually think the Veilside was standard fitting on a Supra, when my mate went to buy one from Toyota circa 95/96 he thought they came as standard or as a option fitting Its personal taste at the end of the day and don't be suprised if all of a sudden TRD is out of fashion , its called trends and sheep Its your Supra ... dare to be different some will love it some will hate it.. thats life I liked it on my Supe and that is what drawed alot of the media companies and Model making companies to mine and the photoing of the car, it looked out landish downside was no rear vision I personally dislike the veilside front bumper and its impractical all the ones you see are broken A black Supra in full Veilside can look awesome though, but mixing and matching bits of kits can look good too On the other side of the coin Some love the stock look others don't ...
  8. Below are details of Bolney meet (posted by Daz on J UK Meets) DATE AND START TIME: Bolney 2007 will be held on Saturday 21st April. The meet will start FROM 11:30am - please do NOT turn up any earlier as we will be trying to get the carpark display area arranged and sorted before everyone else turns up (otherwise it's too hectic to move cars around). THE THEME: This years theme is "Old 'n' New". The carpark will be used as a display area - for which selected car club will be asked to pick 2 cars which give a good representation of their club .... Obviously the display car park is limited to the clubs selected - and we will be inviting clubs shortly. If we decide nearer the time that we have more space available then we will invite a few more clubs to put forward 2 cars each. One club is celebrating 30 years this year - and we will be offering them some additional space for a small display area (should they wish to use it). PARKING: Because the carpark will be a display area, please do NOT turn up and try and park in the carpark - as this will ruin what we are trying to achieve. Please use the grass verges along the sides of the road and the main grass verge outside the pub (as in previous years). Also, please be considerate to residents who live in the area - and do not restrict them access to their properties. Additionally, please do not park across the entrance to slip roads. We do not want to annoy the residents and limit our chances of returning again. FLY-BY's: There will be a zero tolerance rule with people who try to demonstrate what their car is capable of ... by this I mean anyone seen speeding or driving like a moron will be asked to leave. This is a purely static meet ... if you want to drive your car hard then go to a trackday instead. As in previous years I expect there to be children attending with their parents and I do NOT want to see anyone get injured. POLICE: Sussex police WILL be notified of the event and they WILL be paying us a visit regularly. If they cannot drive through as regularly as hoped, and we get idiots doing fly-by's then I will be phoning Sussex Police and asking them to come down. CATERING: Last year the pub did a superb job with catering and I am hoping they will be offering something similar this year. Last year they had burgers, hot dogs, chips, etc as well as cans of drinks. They also went around with trays of hotdogs and burgers so that people didn't need to go into the pub to get food. LITTER: Please ensure that you use the litter bins scattered around the area - and do not drop rubbish on the floor. After last years meet we had complaints - and I do not want to see a repeat this time around. Please ensure you are respectful to the local community - and ensure you put any rubbish in the bins provided. I cannot emphasise enough how important it is that we do NOT leave the village in a mess - the residents should not be having to tidy up after us. MAGAZINES: Unfortunately JTuner has ceased to exist, so we will not have them there this year. I shall be contacting Japanese Performance magazine to let them know about the meet - and they can decide if they want to come along (I hope they will as they have been very supportive of the meet in the past and have always give

    Petrol

Tesco fuel killed 2x lamba sensors on the wifes RX8 last week with the fuel prob Regarding the NA you don't need anything higher than 95 RON You my get better mpg on 97 RON as you will with any NA car 99RON ... you have to much money to burn ... pointless in a NA Ran my NA on 95 for 2 years and no probs, they are designed to run on 95 RON , Alot of the fuel spec stories you hear about in Japan are myths, they have fuel just like us only some of the high spec Turbo cars need the 103 RON which isn't that common out there anyway , most stations are either 95 / 97 / 99 RON
  10. Thanks but just got a all singing and dancing new head unit. Need to sell this as don't have my Supra anymore. This is everything to convert back to std Airfilter set up £30.00 i thought was a real bargain, Can't beleive it didn't sell especially with all the watchers, Don't understand people watching a buy now... doh !!

  12. 14. TBH Depends what you want Looks and realiability go for the NA If you just want balls out perforamance oh and the looks buy the TT TBH i loved my NA Supra and unlike many TT's you read about that are always in some workshop being repaired or whatever ( That is not a dig by the way guys !!) I actually drove my NA as a everyday car it was SUPERB on fuel (it runs rings around my current car a Skyline in the fuel dept ) and it never missed a beat, i used it and drove it and was never constantley have to take it to the garage and paying out redicoulous bills Personally my choice would be a Manual in NA form, i drove loads of Autos first which i felt to be no quicker than my previuos car a FTO unless really pushed, the Manual on the other hand flys. Performnace wise as long as you keep it in what NA owners call the Magic 5500rpm they hussle My NA was a 5spd Manual and 0 - 60 was 6 secs dead and in the "real world" on the road that aint slow My mods were full HKS Induction kit ,cold Air feed , Heatsheild and Jap 5in Trail exhaust End of the day its your choice just weigh up the pros and Cons , The NA is a good every day user package and a lot cheaper to run and maintain
  15. MR2OC Dropped out organising this event very early in the plans Janey (Lil Red) off Japukmeets forum is organising this event as she has done for the last few years. Lets hope it warmer than last year!!!
  16. more like she just had a real drug problem and was depressed at the suicide of her son ... (although there is talk of her Lawyer / husband / boyfreind whatever being present at her sons "suicide" and her sudden death , he would stand to get the inherritence .
  17. speak to Alan at Pow-r luton "if its available in Japan " its available over here is his moto" , he got the missus a spoiler for her RX8 and no one else in the UK has one fitted yet on a RX8, He has contacts out in Japan this is his line of business and he also supplys body kits to D1 drifters etc http://www.pow-r.co.uk/
  18. think faye has total de cat, really loud if totally decat a NA poss not road legal maybe ?? total decat on a TT is ok as the turbo acts as a silencer,
  19. Anyone doing the tunnel run on 24th? Below is info from Japgirls.co.uk mail your name/ forum name club etc to [email protected] below is taken from their forum and is on most club forums now few things have changed due to some problems encountered so all has been updated Saturday 24 Feburary meeting at the Ace Cafe at 5.00pm to leave in convoy at around 8-8:30pm (beats traffic). JapGirls First Event Outing - London Tunnel Run 24th Feb '07, meet 5pm @ Ace Cafe!!! Well, the last few months have been an interesting ride, ww.JapGirls.co.uk has gone from strength to strength spreading its arms all around the UK! So in true JapGirl style we thought it best to stretch our legs a bit and arrange our first event being a London Tunnel Run in conjunction with the Break Through Cancer Charity. The run looks to be a monster with a convoy of 150 to 200 vehicles expected and a variety of big clubs coming out to join us in the fun! We also have some magazine coverage expected on the night so remember to wash your cars first!! The meet will begin at London's Ace Cafe on the North Circular from where you'll be issued with a map, not that us girls need them but we all know what men are like about asking directions From there we'll be moving onto an undisclosed re-driven route and making as much noise as we possibly can with a bit of fun and maybe stops along the way Obviously we cannot condone stupid driving so consider yourself warned As I said the route will have been driven before and the maps will be noted with the whereabouts of the "road safety cameras" for your own safety Due to the concern of gatecrashers this is a ticket event with proceeds going to charity. Tickets are priced at £4 per car (Jap cars only) regardless of passengers and includes your ticket and map (map collectable on the night) Some of you may be new to the idea of tunnel runs so what should you expect?? Expect a large quantity of high power, show level and modified road race cars making huge amounts of noise bouncing off their limiters in the aim to make the maximum amount of noise possible throughout the tunnels of London, expect to hear bangs, see huge flames, even maybe a bootside barbecue or two but mostly expect to be in a crowd of people totally involved and single minded in the Japanese tuning world. Oh and fingers crossed we may even have a few pohotographers on scene too so make sure you're cars fully waxed and you're looking flash
  20. Well the 2007 season starts soon ... kicking off with Boxhill in March .. then Bolney in April leading onto Japfest in May then Japshow etc etc, Before we know it JAE will be upon us
  21. Saw this at Japshow Santa Pod last year, (if same car?) very good mod and looks like it was there as Toyota factory fitment
  22. Not bad turn out We've had nearly 400 cars before, and to think our first meet back in 2001 was 6 cars !! every month is different
  23. oh yes ... and don't i know it trick i have found is when the rear goes.. don't bottle it, just hit the loud pedal and it sorts its self out, Can see now why they are the drifters favourite car Trouble is you have no warning its coming, and no traction in wet even when in straight line , New boots all round so not the tyres , have been told this is what a GTS is like too much power through the rear wheels and worse if the car is uprated the GTR is 2wd most of the time but goes 4 wheel and diagional and has a torque splitter front to back which keeps everything in line when you are on the limit, so you would have to be doing something really stupid to lose a GTR,
  24. Slow off the blocks there Ian with the Taxi jokes ... wondered how long ... ha ha ha
