  1. That is pretty weird! spooky! but my only guess is that the cat got playful with your boot and maybe got tangled up in it and paniced (hence the noise) and dragged it upstairs whilst trying to get free... maybe it bumped the DVD player in the process. A long shot but more likely than ghosts and you know what cats can be like...

    Traction Control??

Agree, RLTC is the answer, I got it fitted and it's probably the best mod I've done to the car so far - no regrets
  3. sounds familiar lol you can't beat that rush the first time you experience it
  4. I'd say it looks better without as the front looks very sleek and stylish, but as bonnet scoops go the supra one is not bad and I wouldn't cry if I had one, probably just depends what you get used to and how the overall car looks with or without it.
  5. the garage around the corner from mine did the double de-cat remove and replace for £50, they are a nice bunch. I can have a word if you like, no potholes, easy to get too and they have the most amazing floor ramp I've spoken to gt-art on the phone before, I remember thinking they seemed a bit kinda disinterested and also their prices may be high they would be worth considering for local mapping perhaps, appart from that I'm not so sure.
  6. I agree, I don't normally like them at all but that one is not bad. That colour works well when it is as shiney as that too

    New to Supras...

well at least you've realised that if they are currently out of your budget it is better to wait and maybe get something else in the mean time getting something on the cheap end of the scale and maxing you're budget will end you up with a lemon and no easy way to get the car you were really after... hope you come back when you have a little more and get a really nice one, the wait will be well worth it

    New to Supras...

use sky for insurance then don't worry about the Uk spec thing and you might then find a black manual, otherwise good luck... If you want manual I'd recommend being flexible about the uk/j-spec thing over the manual gearbox I would agree but this is just personal opinion, I don't think the bonnet bulge does it any favours tbh
  9. mine has the same switch, rear fog light added so j-spec is uk spec road legal...

    STI Rant.

you've got nothing to prove, play it cool (and own him one time when he is not expecting it...)
  11. approx 500 for an auto I believe, beyond that is getting risky I'd imagine a tipronic is a nice drive, best of both worlds but if only it had 6 gears, I love having 6 speeds!
  12. bpu is significantly quicker but the TT is very quick anyway so if you've not driven one before I could see why you might assume stock is bpu when it is not... if it is bpu I'd suspect it should certainly have a boost guage, and if it does it should be up around 1.2 bar (stock is 0.8-0.9) - no boost guage then I doubt it is bpu (or proper bpu).
  13. that would be great! how would you want the money?
  14. that is very strangeI drove around for some time (weeks) without proper bpu boost until I reset it, I don't get it at all. Could a safe timing map cause a slight misfire and thus reduced boost. the car kinda felt hesitant and perhaps was not firing quite right before the reset, perhaps the plugs were on the edge of functioning correctly and a slight change made a big difference hmmm I'm puzzled now and I don't think I'm the only one who has found a noticeable difference after going bpu and then ecu reset,we can't all be imagining it?
  15. well I'm no expert but boost will go up when the air is cooler, cooler air = denser air approaching 1.3 bar is a bit high for j-specs, they may be fine or go pop, it is just an increased risk but if it is just peaking at 1.28 and then settling down lower around 1.2 then that is probably ok suprised about the overshoot though, I'm sure some BC experts will be along to tell you why this is happening. Have to tried adjusting the gain to see if it affects the overshoot?
  16. I totally agree with what you are saying but get this: my car used to boost at around 0.9 bar with both cats in I did a double decat and walbro (already had the plugs, cat back etc) took it out and it refused to boost past 0.9 bar at all after many tries. I was a bit disapointed that the performance was roughly the same. then I reset the ecu. First few blips saw 0.9 then it peaked higher and higher and afer a 2 or 3 goes it was at 1.2bar it seems to do this after a reset, I've done it again since and it def makes a difference. how can this be if it is totally open loop? Is something else maybe being adjusted. not fuel but timing based on readings from the sensors (knock sensors etc?)
  17. really, ok so do you want to part with it? Nic - that is a good price for a new pair! I'd go for that if the second hand one doesn't materialise, cheers.
  18. well I really like rosso monza which I think is the Ferarri red also used on Lancias too, but maybe it would not suit the supra? I wonder if anyone has tried it? I'm not a fan of the standard red but that is just imho, everyone has different tastes
  19. punto 75sx that I've been using for nearly a year, been good but it just failed the mot grrrr so finally i have to spend some money on it...

    Torrents

    direct connect or dc++
  21. actually if there is a pair going I need a passenger side, maybe we could go halves and split a pair, just an idea as I imagine they are sold as pairs more than individually...
  22. Action sounds like a good name for a film, staring a scary Dave Dickenson...
  23. chilli

    Torrents

I doubt it's the fault of the program, more likely not many people leaving it shared for long enough - a general problem with torrents
  24. j-spec horror - the best so they make good horror films and great cars
