  1. with a good healthy BPU set up I really don't think you need to be afraid of much at all As for CTR's they are hardly worth the fuel to prove the obvious! Watch out for some new type Porsche Turbo 996/997s - these don't hang around!
  2. yes def reset after a de-cat. Mine didn't run right until I did and then wow what a difference! it took a few runs after the reset before it was really running well. As mentioned, it's worth reseting after any changes to the engine operating conditions, so the ecu and relearn new settings from a fresh start
  3. 1st one, Silver coming the other way towards a roundabout between Polgate and Beddingham, flashed and waved at you, you waved back 2nd, you were stuck in a queue of traffic travelling East to turn right towards Eastbourne and I came up the inside and beeped and waved at you - not sure if you saw me...
  4. Yes it is black and it's me! I'm still here now actually.
  5. yeah 10mm, easy peasy once you've got them started you can take then out with your fingers...
  6. ok so it is a carnuba wax type product, this is the best wax you can get? what is a sealent glaze then? I get a bit lost with the miriad of different products out there... how does a cleanser differ from a polish or are they the same
  7. yes P21S thats the stuff, not 2100 lol I've heard it is good stuff, it's a wax right not a polish as such?
  8. I've come to the conclusion there isn't a single best make meguires gold class car shampoo is excellent, best shampoo I've used meguires clay and detailer are good meguirs gold class wax is good (but sometimes hard work) meguires deep crystal polish, not convinced by this, really hard work on a black car! Autoglym super resin, quite good but a bit powedery? Autoglym extra gloss is very good still waiting to find the best wax, will probably get some neilsons or swissol or there is some stuff called p2100? or something that is also meant to be very good
  9. nice one, look forward to reading your review when it's all sorted
  10. check this out in case you're interested http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=85532
  11. well along with the obvious slip % level it allows control over the launch control (the rev limits etc). It allows control over the main configuration settings such as the minimum slip speed, and various other settings that control the agressiveness of the traction control system. The things that allow you to fine tune it to your driving style, car and conditions. you don't need to adjust them all the time, but it can be handy and as I said, it's really nice to have visual indication of what the unit is up to. Bit like how nice it is to have a speedo and a boost guage... they all help to let you know what is going on
  12. Mine has been 100% reliable so far. A doddle to set up and I highly recommend it. Its transformed my car, even just at bpu I found I really needed it! The issue with the files was just with some obscure 'smoothing' value being set when it probably should not, with it set the reading rltc gets might not be as good as it could be - this is just a configuration thing, not a hardware unreliability. don't disregard the digi adjuster, it's really nice and allows you to tweak the settings without getting the laptop out all the time... It gives nice visual feedback of what the unit is doing too, like a graph of the cuts it is making to keep traction, I like that display a lot. there are no issues with rltc and anything else, turbo timers included!
  13. wow that's cheap! wish I could live down south with up north prices. that's nearly half the price of mine for a 3 bed semi!
  14. yes you need some program to do the conversion, with nero 7 premium there is nero vision and I think that does it
  15. well apparently a hairdryer can be used to dry it out (put it up against the hole where the bulb goes) - as a temporary fix. to properly fix it, check the bulbs fit in the holes properly - i.e. they seal up ok with the o-rings that are on the bulbs new o-rings or something to seal it up (like grease) should then see them stay condensation free - in theory
  16. omg you guys/gals you're making me realise how lucky I've been I've just got the prospect of replacing 2 worn front tyres after 2 years of ownership + I'd like the front nose resprayed to get rid of a few minor stone chips
  17. some cars are just nothing but trouble don't know why, maybe it was badly made, maybe it has been poorly looked after in the past, maybe it was cursed after all
  18. ahhh so you're looking, good good the quicker you get rid of the fto the quicker you will stop throwing time and money away on it
  19. OMG talk about bad luck (or unreliable cars!) yeah fix it, sell it asap and use the money towards a decent NA. The NA will be nice and reliable, allowing you to save up towards a nice TT. Then when you are ready, sell the NA and put the money with the savings on a decent TT and live happy ever after

    North Korea

abandoning borders is a nice idea but there are so many different cultures, laws, traditions etc that it would be impossible having this cultural diversity is part of what makes the world an amazing place. in an ideal world maybe we could all live together with common laws etc but I just can't see it happening for a long long time if ever

    North Korea

yes this can only be a good thing. There is a serious risk just in having them around, statistically although unlikely, one could malfunction so the less there are around the better. yeah I agree, the spin they (and the Governments) put on these things is crazy. Any excuse to justify a cause. Apparently the N.Koreans were over the moon because propaganda has led them the believe the US/west was planing to invade them and so this justifies their nuclear weapons development to the masses. Spin and propaganda to create a justification so they can do what they want to
  22. that's a pretty good deal btw, just taking them appart and putting them back together is no 5 minute job...
  23. well if you're gonna just piss about then definitely don't do it yourself!

    North Korea

I'm not sure anyone thinks it is, if a nation has a desire to enter the nuclear weapons arena then it needs to ensure it has the right infrastructure to support what it wants to do. i.e. it might need one or more nuclear power stations and a reprocessing facility. the point of testing is firstly to make a statement to the world, and secondly to prove that the theory works in the design of the particular real bomb I read somewhere that the 1st nukes tested by the Russians after ww2 were exact copies of one of the bombs dropped on Japan (Fat boy I think it was). In this case technology was aquired/advanced by spying/espionage - this just serves to accelerate the path - it can be developed from the ground up independantly - but it would need testing to prove effectiveness and fine tune the designs. Testsing of simple fission devices is the first step to mastering the technology behind h-bombs (fission-fussion-fission).

I think the single biggest worry in all this, longer term, is an East Asian arms race... the whole region may feel destabilised by this move. I'd imagine at the least there will now be major sanctions against N.Korea and their people will suffer greatly because of it.
