  1. Yeah it would be good for all of us to meet up at some point, perhaps we should arrange a local meet sometime before the summers over...
  2. Saw a silver Supra parked up in Cuckfield near the Weathsheaf pub, by a RAV4. Was it you?
  3. Well, looking at your siggy, you wouldn't be sharing a supe!!! Now THAT would be bad!!!
  4. The butterfly effect - another good'un.
  5. The g/f: (POSSIBLE SPOILER) Well IMO Donnie goes back not only to save his g/f from being run over but also to save his mother, because.... when donnie survived he "outted" the paedophile which in turn made that teacher woman not able to go to the dance show which meant his mother went in her place, when donnie goes back and chooses to die, although the paedophile gets away with it his mother is not on the plane which loses its engine, which may have crashed??? I couldnt find a reason in the film why the plane wouldnt have been there in the first place, so the engine was always going to crash into his room? Weird isn't it how many people's lives are affected by something so small and it can be traced back to a point too - obviously Donnie sleep walking.... and not being there to be killed. again, it's a great film and it's great that it gets people talking in depth about it. Oh and i agree, the wormy watery things are a persons future path. Yes. Lol. Ok. Lindsey
  6. G/f: I really enjoyed Twelve Monkeys too, have you seen "The I inside" ? I recommend it if you like films like the ones mentioned.
  7. Thanks for all the replies everyone, it's nice to see that i'm not the only one that drives a tiny car during the week! I thought that more people would have had Toyotas as their second cars... keep 'em coming - if there's anyone left. I find that driving a humble everyday car makes me appreciate the supe that much more everytime i drive it, and the lower running costs means more money to spend on the supe!!
  8. The g/f again: I did enjoy trying to work it all out myself and I agree that that's what the y wanted, people to just make up their own minds. Some of the theories are interesting though, some believable and some by people with WAY too much time on their hands! I didn't rate Mulholland drive and don't say it's because I didn't 'get it' I just didn't think it was that great. And yes, Donnie Darko IS brilliant (also IMO) . Are you all going to be watching it tonight?
  9. The g/f: Well the first time I saw it, i had to watch it again as soon as it had finished, I thought that it was a great film and once i had read a few bits and bobs on the internet it made sense to me. There are so many 'theories' about different parts of the film. I don't want to write too much for those who've not seen it but just have a thrawl through google and then choose which theory you want to go along with I suppose. 5/5 for me.
  10. Sorry if it's been asked before, but what cars do you drive when not being spoilt with with supra? Come on and own up! I'll start, I have a Renault Clio 1.4 RT (grey blue green colour) and a Vauxhall Corsa (light blue).
  11. Happy Birthday Mr.A. Have a good day! From both of us!
  12. Didn't cost me any more to insure a j-spec, just shop around for the best deal. Certainly don't let it sway your car purchasing decision , just get some quotes before hand... Plus with the hudge choice of imports your more likely to find exactly what you want, rather than compromising on things
  13. I read that it was 623 sold in the uk and most were autos. I wonder how many have been written off now anyway. Get yourself a j-spec 6 speed manual - and if you're lucky it might have some goodies on it too
  14. over a stock supra you might, over a modded one, not likely...
  15. take the supra and a camera, have some fun and take some shots of it abroad too
  16. Might need to adjust the catch to make a firm fit against the rubbers perhaps? Unless its something else altogether, you sure its not the suspension?
  17. Yeah I had wondered if that might happen! doh! it was an idea doomed from the start, abandon ship!
  18. What I was interested in really was success or failure of mods, lessons learnt and direction people were taking for the future. You could piece some of this together by trawling through endless threads and vbGarages etc but a single thread with this info might well be useful for anyone intended to mod their car further in the future, I know I'd find it useful for starters. It was just a thought, perhaps a more concise list would serve better, my original thoughts were basically: What have you done to your engine? what boost and bhp do you have? have you blown anything up (and why)? what do you plan to do next? Just to capture this info in one place. If people are tired of polls and surveys then fair enough, it's only going to work if everyone wants to contribute at the end of the day.
  19. I'm interested to know: What spec car you have (N/A, TT, Auto, Manual, Uk spec, j-spec) how long have you had it what you are running as suspension, braking, transmission etc mods what your running as engine mods (turbos, exhaust, injectors, ecu, ebc, cams, fuel pumps etc) what boost pressure you are running what you know (or expect) to be running bhp wise any notable mechanical failures (e.g. blown turbos) and the cause if known what is your next intended mod Might be an interesting thread to see what people are up to. I'll start the ball rolling: My car is fairly stock, black J-spec RZ-S TT 6 speed manual with 18" split rims and Veilside/Top secret body 3 months approx Tein fully adjustable suspension (set very low and firm), competition clutch Cat-back exhaust, induction kit, ecu upgrade (TBA) 1 bar bhp unknown no failures to date Next mod, uk brakes and a de-cat pipe (with VFCC) most likely
  20. *start thread hijack* Having a j-spec tt requiring a de-cat, are you saying it's not safe to remove the 1st cat? I was planning on removing both and using a restrictor ring or removing the 1st cat only and seeing how that goes. >its not the size of the waste gate that is the problem, it cannot react fast enough with all the cats out to effectivley control the boost,im running motec m800 and it takes care of everything for me !! dumb question, how does the motec help here? Do uprated actuators (that have been mentioned elsewhere) help the system react quick enough with the first cat out? *end thread hijack*
  21. You could try making a mock up speeding penalty and sending it to him in the post. If you know where he's been it will be more convincing, let him find out only when he rings the contact number and it's a Chinese takeaway or something! crue but this is revenge after all...
