  1. Hmmm....its happened to me too, but it was a picture of Anne Robinson.
  2. Yup, beats me pants down.
  3. Papier mache helmets and masks are good fun too for kids. Blow up a balloon to the approx size of his / your head, then form the desired shape in papier mache over the baloon. Add horns, ears or whatever, let dry than pop the balloon. Then paint as required with poster paint. Edit...forgot about the nose...plasticine on the balloon for a nose before the mache. In the past I've done monster masks, viking helmets, even a complete suit of armour complete with sword and shield all in papier mache. Same basic idea for the armour, just clingfilm or plastic over the arms and chest etc. Shield was done using a cardboard former, as was the sword. Cant wait for grandkids.

I lived in a city that held as much as it could, CAPA CITY So I moved to another that repaid what it should. RECIPRO CITY The third had very little, with not much to be found, SCAR CITY The fourth was very boring, with no change in the sound. MONOTONI CITY The fifth was a jungle; wild beasts roamed in the street, FERO CITY The sixth was so foggy you could not see past your feet. OPA CITY The seventh was on the move; I could barely keep the pace, VELO CITY The eighth was so evil; a whole city in disgrace. ATRO CITY The ninth was off-center; the people were bizarre, ECCENTRI CITY The tenth was quite truthful; where honesty is par. VERA CITY The eleventh was so wise; the acumen hurt my brain, SAGA CITY So I settled in a twelfth, because it was so plain. SIMPLI CITY
  5. I thought that was the idea.
  6. The Grim Reaper paid me a visit today as I was vacuuming the lounge. I was literally Dyson with Death.

    Word puzzle

Got sent this by a friend. I lived in a city that held as much as it could, So I moved to another that repaid what it should. The third had very little, with not much to be found, The fourth was very boring, with no change in the sound. The fifth was a jungle; wild beasts roamed in the street, The sixth was so foggy you could not see past your feet. The seventh was on the move; I could barely keep the pace, The eighth was so evil; a whole city in disgrace. The ninth was off-center; the people were bizarre, The tenth was quite truthful; where honesty is par. The eleventh was so wise; the acumen hurt my brain, So I settled in a twelfth, because it was so plain. Name each city he lived in. After a bit of head scratching to start with it clicked and I got 9 before needing google.
  10. I went to view a Scirocco MkI that was advertised as silver. When I got there it was half yellow. He'd pressure washed it that morning and blown half the (rather bad) silver re-spray off. He was rather shocked, but we had a good laugh. Another funny one was a tatty Alfa Sud...whilst on the test drive the entire rear suspension collapsed, and I mean collapsed, totally rotten throughout. 'Its never done that before', he said.

    Funny story

....Only to re-appear again after said elephant let out the most stupendous fart. I hadn't heard an explosion like that since the Somme. A most curious affair...old Bagshot could never look an elephant in the eye again without his handlebars quivering uncontrollably.

    Funny story

:)Who what where ? That was damned quick sirrah. Reminds me of old Bagshot getting a bad one up the Umbongo. One minute he was flicking flies off his elephant, the next he was gone. Gone I tell you.
  15. 30 years, no parole. Having said that, I'm allowed out three hours every saturday.
  16. Two of my favorite bits from previous shows... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPCzwaaVIP4 Simple pleasures indeed.
  17. My son met his soulmate / girlfriend of seven years during a school trip to Russia. She's attractive, blonde, blue eyed, intelligent and extremely polite. Serendipity ? Would he have met her if I couldn't have afforded the school trip for him ? Perhaps her being in his class at school and her parents being able to afford the same trip to Russia helped. Who knows. They currently endure a long distance relationship, she's down here in Dorset, he's up in Coventry. I worry about it sometimes, as I've seen some of the lasses up there at Cov Uni. Wow. Even worse, I've seen some of the hunks she works with down here too... Again, Wow.
  18. This subject fascinates me. I've posted before about my doubts that we can find the 'love of our lives', or 'total soulmate' etc within our immediate geographical area, or immediate social area. I myself, am not well travelled. I could have ended up married to a lass from Eyemouth, had I not moved south for work. Then again, I wouldn't have met my wife to be had she not moved back to the UK from South Africa. Who knows how my marital life would have panned out if, say, I was an International Man of Mystery. The Bourne Identity sums up what I'm attempting to get out there, an American meeting a German whilst in Switzerland. Obviously its impractical to scour the Earth looking for someone who may complete our lives slightly more than the local talent, and even if we did, there would be a nagging doubt that another 1000 miles of travel, or another night in the Tibetian Hotel that so far had only offered the romantic opportunity of a goat, two llamas and a Canadian moose searching for herself, would have resulted in that encounter that makes our lives really really really complete.
  19. The cat typed it. I've warned him about using my account before. He assures me it was pertinent to the thread however, so I posted it on his behalf.
