  1. So in these days of "ban the motorist" they are actively paying people to drive around for the sake of it? What a waste of energy and fuel... (At least, that's one argument that could be used against it...)
  2. careful what you get up to in front of Dip Dip though. Check this: http://www.abc.net.au/am/content/2006/s1550402.htm (Was in the Express last week too.) I've got a blue fronted Amazon myself. Loves me, hates the g/f. Every time she goes near him he goes wild - narrow pinpoint eyes, the lot. Frightens the f... out of her sometimes. LOL She's OK feeding him though - and he seems to accept that.
  3. Had mine done on Tuesday too. Had them check and tighten all the sub-frame bolts at the same time. It's made a world of difference in the handling. The rear adjustments were siezed solid and the whole job eventually took 2 hours. The settings I've got now are: Front Camber L -52' R -52' Toe L 01' R 01' Rear Camber L -1 37' R -2 04' Toe L 12' R 14' All within Toyota specs. The rear toe figures were well out originally and seem to have shifted quite a bit from when Tim had them done. All I've got to do now is get another set of rear tyres as these only lasted 5 months...
  4. Why not drill the number plate instead? I'm sure you could find a big enough expanse of black on one of the letters to hide the lens...
  5. Using mine daily here too. Not too bad as long as you're careful on the curved bits and don't boot it too hard anywhere. In a couple of weeks I've got to drive to Hitchin and back to install VPN in our branch there. End of Feb I'm trekking up to Glasgow to do the same. Can't fly as I've got all the IT kit to take with me (2 PCs, printers, scanner, fax etc). Worked a deal with the Boss to get car allowance these days.
  6. To be fair on the organisers last year, they were right in the middle of being bought out and were doing their best to get things sorted while under new management. I was speaking to Ian quite often and can understand the problems he was having. Hopefully this year he'll have things well in hand. The thing that caught my eye out of everything last year was Dales "Skunk" Supe on the stand right opposite my MX6. Kinda made my mind up on my next car there and then... (Oh, and your bright orange beastie too CJ )

    Wednesday Rant

Don't tell me you've run out though? Huh - bloody people who start a damn good thread then bugger off just when it gets interesting...
  8. They got bought out. The same guy (Ian Cruickshank) is organising it again this year - and TRAX. Wasn't much fun on the track though guys. No, I tell a lie - it was great until the Evo went and spoilt it for us.
  9. Sure you can. It's the older one though - no data logging. Does 0-60, 60-0, 1/4 mile time, G-force and Horses (as if you'd believe it). I'll PM my number if you want to pop round.

    got the horn

I had the Dukes one on an old Escrote about 20 years ago.
  11. Works just fine here Yes, and yes (at least, it can be ) Don't think so - there are quite a few web links (mostly torrents) on the free stuff.
  12. :eyebrows: Look into the eyes. Not around the eyes... :eyebrows: Keep the Supe DB.
  13. Those Guido's look like the typical Bournemouth night out crowd to me. Suits, fake tans, hair gel. In fact there's one sat opposite me at his desk right now.... And our chavs dress like a typical Yank anyway with their garish tracksuits and trainers...
  14. I've not hit it yet Nick, and I've got 1st decat too.
  15. Have a good day Rosie - and a better evening.

There was a red import n/a for sale in the Ashley Rd garage near Kentucky Fry not long ago. Not seen that one since it left the forecourt though...
  17. Something else for me to investigate in the chase to cure my loose back end then (ooer missus). Cheers guys.

  21. Grant Mitchell - so I wouldn't have to be in the bloody prog if I didn't want to!
  22. Mate of mine got done doing exactly the same thing as he went past a scamera - on a motorbike. (One hand is apparently fine btw ) And here's another mate who did the pull up and take photos trick:

    Huge Ebay Scam!

I worked for a company a few years ago where the MDs son (a Uni student at the time) was buying in pallet loads of old monitors and selling them on EBay without bothering to even test them. When a customer complained about a non working one he'd get them to send it back (at their own expense) and send them another - again untested. Eventually his feedback got so bad that he had to open up another account. His Dad made him start testing all the monitors before sending them out and told me (as IT Manager at the time) to make sure it was done. Of course, the little waster didn't bother so I got in the shit over it! The last straw for me was seeing this prat open his wallet and boast about how much money he was making - so I quit!
