thats kind of what i was getting at with the usb in the dash, allthough the car companies would be able to put the investment into just a media engine rather than a full blown pc

i have a car pc, and i am fitting a usb extension to the dash so i can just slot a memory stick in with all the music,videos, camera sd cards, etc. technology is definately moving on, all cars will have pc's as standard in the future its just a matter of when. at the moment i am trying to find something that i can just slot my sim card into for hands free via the pc, and monitor. there is a programme out now that you can connect your pc and mobile via bluetooth with, that lets you use handsfree and even video calling, but its at trial stages and only works with a couple of phones at mo, but its getting there. it was only 14 years ago there was no such thing as a mkiv supra

its the right part, and there are 4 bolts, 1 in each corner, and a 1/2 circular strip that disconnects (clips) from the main part ( bottom inside edge) so you can lift it out without having to take fan off. bit tricky to get to bottom nuts off. there seems to be a lot of people after these, including me. presume its because they keep cracking on the top edge or is that just mine. stuck mine back together and reinforced it for now. you cant tell

bottom line any tin of aerosol will work, your not talking high temperatures, but your original post mentioned 2k so thought you were going for it just a tin of halfords or similiar primer then a colour, then preferably a laquer to make it last and shine. sure it will look great. think your worrying to much mate, just go for it

not great on geography but think there all south. better than you though your in north yorkshire

why would you want petrol resistant lacquer?? just a grey primer sand then a 2k paint and then preferably a 2k lacquer

as for the metal box my jap na hasn't got one but a uk spec in scrapyard did, so that ads a bit more mystery for you.

when i did my jspec left the struts stock for time being but put eibach springs on didn't need a compressor either. it actually raised the car but it has settled now
