It drives beautifully, handles very very well for a big car. A standard 400bhp on tap all the time. Steering wheel activated M button, adds an additional 105 bhp and your suspension setting of choice (obviously pre-set earlier), makes overtaking very quick. You have a choice of manual gear stick sequential, shift or paddles or auto with a whole range of settings from lazy to really sharp. The twin clutches are lightning fast when you want them to be. There is a launch setting, but we don't need to use it. When using the paddles or the stick sequential shift the HUD changes show a rev counter so you can time changes to perfection without taking your eyes of the road. Importantly it has impressive brakes, you just need to watch the mirror under heavy braking and modulate to stop the car behind piling in the back, they are that good. It has everything you would expect from a high end BMW M series car. All servicing information is available with advanced warnings, on ignition on, so you can book ahead to get serving done on time. Our local BMW specialist have been brilliant in looking after the car, so much better than the main dealer. This was an £84000+ car so quite a machine, and extremely comfortable and quiet on very long journeys.

Phil an amazing machine,(lovely motors on the driveway too) I was lucky enough to have a go in one of these & I can not believe how well these handle the road! If anyone is looking to purchase this I'd highly recommend getting an aftermarket exhaust. The standard exhaust does sound lovely but it is quite baffled, the sound is something else though

I did look into some Ti systems for it but at £2.5k I decided the stock system sounded OK. To be honest I did not want to spoil the peace and tranquillity of the cockpit, when at high rpm you can hear it but it is not intrusive.

Now that is nice. are they really that cheap now?, like i have sort of dosh sitting around:)

Lovely machine, we had a 5 series recently and I would defo have one again. I imagine with 400-500 brake, it would be a hoot..!!

What a beast! They look so closely and have that much power to boot!

Just a shame that the V10 won't be featured on the new F10 M5 (it'll be the 4.4 V8 Twin Turbo). Bet it sings with that V10!
