Hi all, This Years Christmas meal is at the Beaches 10'th December 2011 I know it is only September but it's time to start planning our Christmas Do for the year I have thought of a couple of options, but if anyone has any other ideas please put them forward. I will start a poll with dates for starters and then once we have a date we can discuss our options. My ideas so far are: 1) Going go-karting and then out for tea and a drink (Maybe manchester - this would probably mean getting trains as apposed to driving) 2) A party night at a venue. The two I know of are DW stadium which is in wigan or Park Hall which is in Eccleston. (If anyone knows of any other venues that offer similar nights let me know). 3) The usual meal and drinky poo's at a nice pub / restaurant. The options I have for this are: * Miller and Carter (Parbold) * The Beeches (Standish - were we went last year) * The Owls (Standish) Again if anyone else has any recommendations for nice pubs / restaurants in their area let me know! So folks get picking a date and then we can narrow it down a bit. I will get some information and prices on all of the above and then it might help with the decisions.

Right folks I have spoken to the pub and have booked us in for the 4th and I've provisionally booked for 20 people (as a maximum). Unfortunately they have already got a big booking at 8.30pm so I have had to book us in for 6.30pm. We will need everyone's menu choices and deposits (£5.00 per person) before next friday (26th November) and I will drop them off next weekend. At the moment there are 14 people down so if you want to come and your not on the list it's first come first served!!

We'll be coming but we'll be playing catch up too as the puppy sitters only start work at 9.30am on a Sunday so we'll find you along the way:) Mike & Steph let us know if you're catching up too and we can meet up. Alternatively if the Jagermeister is having its affect sunday morning and there is a delay then we'll be there

Just to let you all know I have managed to download some vouchers for the pub which are £5 off when you order 2 main meals so I'll bring these with me tomorrow

Yes, stay well clear. I bought mine outright when it first came out and its been a total nightmare. I did one of the system upgrades and it managed to get itself into some kind of loop which you couldn't get it out of so it had to be sent away to nokia and wiped. I have to switch it off at least once a day as it freezes when on the internet. It is also quite slow at responding. I've had nokia's for years but this has completely put me off, no one has anything good to say about this phone. The N97 mini is supposed to be better as it doesn't have the same problems due to the smaller memory but I won't be risking it when I have my upgrade

After speaking to the 2 Mike's we have decided to have a little get togther tonight. We are meeting at the Wiggin Tree, aka Miller and Carter at 8pm. Hope to see some of you there

There was a white Supra stuck in traffic on the M6 last night between junction 23 and 22 at about 4.30pm last night.... anyone on here?
