Theres one in every town............

No, not a town house  ............but a complete and utter GOAT !!

By this i mean the local teenage youth who insists on speeding around the local housing estate or town centre, in a clapped out shed of cr@p thinking he is the bee's knees.

Was round at the chippy tonight, and as i got out the car, i heard this pathetically feeble over-revved engine noise come tearing round the corner and into the carpark. It was the new "freshly passed the test" local idiot in his car out for a spin.......

Details are as such.........

1) Car proceeds to tear round corner of a local housing estate, tappets actually drowning out any other noise, and into the shopping arcade area on what were already dangerous icy roads. Guy parks up (badly)

2) The car in question that has been revved to within an inch of its life is a 1.3 Escort LX on an N-Plate, aubergine (oh yum) colour, lowered what must have been about 100mm on its standard 13" Wheels, alloy look-a-like wheeltrims, "Techno" pumping from the no doubt standard ford 5" speakers, and what looked to be a Halfords Screw-on 4" Chrome tailpipe, badly attached to the standard Ford Peashooter exhaust clearly visible underneath.

3) From the car steps a young fool, complete with white beanie hat, white zip jumper, and white "oversized" baggy trousers, you know the ones with the straps of material hanging loosely from all over them? Out steps the "oh my god how cool is my boyfriend" 15 year old girlfriend from the other side, and he "flicks" the button on his Sparkrite Argos alarm, and strolls into the mini market next door.........

This was closely followed 20 seconds later by one of his mates in a new 54 plated Civic Type R, (no doubt mums or dads car) hitting well over VTEC in 1st gear everywhere and into 2nd. Jumps out the car and scuttles into the shop, where they all come out of 2-3 mins later and then race off out of the car park again, pathetic engines revving to the max, away off round the back of the shops and down the street.

What i want to know is............why ?? I mean the guy in the Civic had more of a reason to try and look cool, and came closer........not very much though........, but is still making a twat of himself, but the guy with the beanie..........ridiculous trousers, and slammed escort cant SERIOUSLY think thats cool !?!?! I was that age too once, as were all my mates, and fair enough we had a tan about but knew the limits, and never went OTT. But we also knew when we looked stupid............and walking out of a battered 1.3 Escort, with "chicky" on the arm and the "gangsta" threads nearly tripping him up just had me in knots, so much so that i made a post about it lol!!

Has anyone else got a local idiot like this ? Or is it sadly just the cold weather up here that does it to them ?? Either way he looked completely :donkey:

Seems like these idiots seem to think its cool to just "be in motion" nowadays !!

It's not just up there mate I think people like that are installed in every new housing estate by companies like Bovis etc when they finish work, we've got no lack of them down here.

I agree with what you're saying, the supra is my 4th car and I've 'lightly' modified all the others, but even when I was 18 complete with fresh new driving licence I never did anything I now view as embarassing :looney:

Obviously each to his own and one man's shed is another man's baby. but come on..... big silver metal spoilers bolted to escorts, greddy / hks stickers on the side of a micra, they all seem to be getting more and more common. :stickpoke

yeh its my bro! :D

My bro annoys me driving into my close with music banging so u can hear bANG BANG BANG in house...not real loud but enough and refuses to change gear to drive into close so its up to 5000rpm with his peco exhaust..damn pikey! :D

i use to drive fast in my escort but not round where i live or housing estate but on dual carriageway i didnt care...thing i love bout the supra....drive and pose. I always did wonder back when i was younger why porsche drivers, ferrari drivers all drive bout 60 on the dual carriageway, when a mean machine was underneath, i know why now...u dont waste the energy until its worth it ;)

Exactly, theres a completely standard Silver Honda Accord up here, its got 15" Fox alloys, and one of those Big Meccano Type Silver Spoilers off the back of it.........quality :innocent:

Theres more and more fools popping up and about, but sadly quality of mods seems to be going downhill and the number of crap cars with big exhausts and stickers is on the up !! I know not everyone can afford the car they want, but come on.............escorts with screwed on tailpipes ??

I had a kid turn around and say "you must feel really stupid having the same side skirts as me" as he pointed to me Vielside kitted Supra TT and to his fiesta popular 1.0. No answer was given... we just shook our heads and drove off

A couple of weeks ago I saw an Astra with a Supra Veilside rear spoiler bolted on

It really is quite amusing - I'm sure they're all just competing for some secret "Shittest Car" award and they can't believe no-one's realised

LOL first thing I thought when I read this post is "ah he's from Basingstoke" . Was a bit shocked to see that he's not from pseudo gangsta rap town but blooming aberdeen FFS.

As far as embarrassin cars WSB2 I think you are skirting quite literally around the issue of 1 mark 4 escort 1.3 "LX" totally kitted up with stupid big 4 light pod on the bonnet and bolt on exhaust extension and big blue ford logo blazened across it and being a signed up member of the Bournemouth cruizin brady bunch!!!

Stones and glass houses mate stones and glass houses.

Know what ya mean though....theres one where my Brother lives with a Fiat chiquchentu or whatever hes got FIAT in big chrome letters across the side windows and SOMERSET CRUISERS written across the back window and some kind of Halfords exhaust type add on bit..

He never looks at my Supra and goes wow so I hate him he he..

Nice car for a 17 year old if ya been used to a skateboard it must be like a Ferrari...to him, we were all 17 once...I couldn't afford a nice car like his when I was 17 so big up to him I say....

but splashed out few years later he he

I remember having a Beemer 325 coupe when I was about 21 it was couple of years old had M-tech suspension and looked well nice, people used to say 'oh look hes driving his Dads car' thats just sheer jealousy then someone torched it outside my house bastards.
