Chris Wilson
Wouldn't like to have bought a new RX-8, been offered two today for about 7500 quid each, tidy cars with no engine issues. BIG hit on these things...
DaveK
There are a fair few of them about, which is probably one of the main reasons I guess.
michael
The replacement looks nice, that's really going to kill used prices of the current one.

michael
It's in Auto Express this week but I can't find a pic, basically it's a bit like the Mazda Kabura concept car but more aggressive looking, no silly doors and doesn't look like it will appeal to old ladies like the current one. wallace9
I know thats alot of money to loose but are all new cars pretty much the same ? I know when the bmw mini came out there was a high demand and therfore second hand prices were good and I also remember something about the big cryser (300c??) being worth alot second hand compared to the new price but thats the only ones I can think of. Depresiation on new cars these days is a c**t.
AndrewOW
The new RX8 looks like a TVR concept car IMO. All cars will look the same, eventually.

BIG hit on these things... That does seem v.cheap. Are they not proving to be very reliable or something? I believe they're very thirsty to run. Wish the 350Z had fallen the same. Let me know if they do
ellis
They're bloody ugly in my opinion. I don't care how good the body but if its got a face like Bella Emberg, I ain't doing it!!

Muffleman
I don't mind them and they drive well. Thing is, for the first year or two of release, prices were VERY strong. Used cars were selling for list etc. Serious turnaround though ! £7,500 ? I'd be tempted !
steb9780
People probably sell them when they realise how much fuel they are putting in. A bloke at work has one, he bought it brand new a few years back (i'll have to mention to him that it's not worth much more than the Supra now ). He said he knew about the fuel consumption, but once he realised he had to put £50 of juice in a week, it hit home what they meant.
DaveK
I know somebody who bought one - they sold it because of build quality, not fuel consumption. Too many squeaks and rattles apparently.

Chris Wilson
Engine problems again, they still haven't sorted the tip seal issue satisfactorily, apparently.
Gaz Walker
Still quite like them, prices are a bargain now compared with the rival at the time the 350z, which is a better car. Regards, Gaz.
Syed Shah
Its slow, ugly, unreliable, and very thirsty. No wonder prices have dropped. The chassis is nice, but that pales in comparison with its problems.
