  • a stock flywheel and uprated clutch so I can dump the OSGiken gear that is getting on my tits because of the gearbox rattle it causes.

Never ending innit? Bloody cars.

:banghead:

No wonder my Mrs hates the damn thing :D

I was pretty happy with my car before it went into the spray shop, and im hoping that I love it when I get it back. Hopefully just in time for JAE. Once I have it back the Bride seats which have been sitting in my spare room for 2 months will also go in.

Power wise I think I am going to stick with BPU as I cannot really afford to go single for a year or so.

I know what you mean about the clunky gearbox sound. I have an RPS flywheel in mine and it sounds like a tractor when I pull away. I have the old one still and that may go back in at some point.

Right, my list of things that need doing that'll make me happy.

Wheel refurb or new wheels.

Tiny, annoying dents filled and full repsray.

Interior refurb.

New suspension and top mounts.

VSOS replaced.

Some low mileage Jspec twins.

Full geometry job.

BPU

..and after that

Engine rebuild

6-speed gearbox

and maybe a street single.

Oh, and some fluffy dice would be cool too.

The only thing I need to do to my car is find that damned mouse that's got in

I have a hairy four legged feline that will magically convert your problem into a clearly visible, stationary deposit when locked in overnight. Can't guarantee your upholstery though.

will any of us ever be happy with our cars..? never!

I've been doing loads to mine over the last 3 weeks, I have enjoyed it even though it's not running.

There is always something you wish you could do... trying to keep a sensible financial leash on the situation is something I struggle with.

I thought I'd finally finished doing stuff, but I've still got to:

  • Get air con fixed (it's got a leak somewhere)
  • Fit my power steering cooler I've been meaning to do for ages.
  • Get a new front bumper as mine is cracked again.
  • Sort out the intercooler piping as it's a bit too low.
  • Fix my front wheel arch liners.
  • Duct rad/fmic/bumper when I have a new one.
  • Extract the bloody 12mm socket that's still rattling around in my side skirt.
  • Get wheels refurbed.
  • Get bootlid repaired where someone keyed it ages ago.
  • Get rear quarter sorted out where a bit of laquer has come off.
  • Fit big breather system when I get my cam covers.
  • Stop the front of my stereo pinging off whenever I go over a bump because the catch has worn.
  • Get a new exhaust that's not so bloomin loud

Hmmmm, that list is longer than I thought... :(
