Paul
Norton really is shite, slows everything down so you get so fed up you never use the PC, therefore unlikely to get a virus
carl0s
I had a fun one the other day. Four brand new computers, plenty of hard disk space. LiveUpdate (NIS 2007) said "Error 18xx: Not enough Disk space". It was only after more than an hour of fucking around that I noticed it very briefly (say 50msec) flash up "Couldn't connect to host" before changing to Not enough Disk Space. It was an iffy/unstable router that was causing LiveUpdate to tell me that there was not enough disk space on the machines. Unfortunately this was not one of my customers and they had already bought the NIS a month or two before (I am looking after somebody elses Maintenance/Contract customers while he's away, and this company was robbed.)
