Kranz
Ultra cheap, but buy about 20 circlips, you can guarantee to lose a few trying to get them on, in situ! Or tie some fishing line to it
Soop Dogg
That's the exhaust gas bypass valve (EGBV). Is it open or shut? if it's permanantly open you'll vent loads of exhaust through it instead of #1 turbo until #2 is brought online. -Ian I'll bet it's open as he mentioned the exhaust being "notably louder". Bob
All sorted Took me 10 minutes to strip the top pipework, 2 hours to find anywhere in this desolate coffin-dodger's haven that actually sold C-clips (ended up going to 2 car places inc. Halfrauds, 1 brakes place, 1 ironmongery / hardware store, and finally bought some from a bicycle shop ), and another 15 minutes to put everything back together. Cheers everyone But I'm still going to use the oil as an excuse with the missus to go single in the not-too-distant future
Sheefa
10 minutes - wow, it would of taken me about 2 hours with a sledge hammer. That pipework looks far too complicated mate! Good to see it's sorted. I love hearing about nice and easy fixes like this
