Guest Feegy
This is my first posting, I went to JAE last month and was totally blown away with the Supras, The result I have sold my baby, A 99 Rev 5 MR2, and am out there looking for a suitable replacement. I am specifically looking for an Aerotop, Automatic, as my wife can only drive autos, and I like to have her drive me home from the pub, no I am not sexist, she just doesnt do Alcohol. We are down in Carrot Crunching Wiltshire but I am prepared to travel to find the right car. I question, I have kept the Fox Rs10's from my MR2 18 by 8,5 stud . Will they fit on a MKiv? If you have the answer to that question, or if you have a suitable car for sale, please respond. The colour and condition of paint is not important, providing the body and mechanicals are sound, as I am planning a full paint job ( I cant be upstaged by my wifes Orange MR2) I look forward to hearing from you. regards Dave

Pete
Good call! Happy hunting. I bet it was the hung over state of the owners at JAE that did it for you wasn't it? Apparently you don't have to be a drunken bum to own a Supra...it just helps.
Guest Feegy
Another MR2 to Supra convert, welcome edit: you after an N/A or TT? Common sense says N/A but at my age the head says T/T, I dearly want to beat my sons MR2 Turbo which he claims under 5 for 0-60. I so want to see him disappearing in the mirror. Or is that not a good enough reason?

If you decide to go for the "common sense" option, my daughters got a nice Hyundai Accent for sale...going cheap .

Guest Feegy
Hi and Die, No thank you, hopefully I still have a few more years before they melt me down for scrap. seriously though, Will my 18 inch rims from the MR2 fit a Supra? Because I love the look of my RS10's and dont really want to sell them, Rubber can always be recycled , but good wheels are an artform.
Guest Feegy
3 MR2's in the family? Welcome Yes they are a 93 Turbo that used to belong to Fizz, (my sons), An Orange G Ltd, that is Hi Vis vest Orange(my wifes) and my Black Rev 5, Now in the care of my neice, and cruising around the Kingston area. Which leaves me driving the Honda Civic until I find a Supra. I used to have a smile on my face when driving , now I just feel like Hyacinth Bucket's husband... HELP. rik
seriously though, Will my 18 inch rims from the MR2 fit a SupraQUOTE] The stud pattern is the same but the offset won't be! Also they are too narrow @8.5". What size tyres do they have? N/A supras have 225s all round but turbos have 255 on the rear.

The wheels I have are fitted with 215/35 on the front and 225/35 for the rear, this contrary to advise on the MR2 threads still gave me great roadholding, I just had to be very careful when parking. What size wheels does the N/A have as standard width wise?

What size wheels does the N/A have as standard width wise? 215/225 is far to skinny, even the NA's have 245 on the rears as standard Stolen from another thread (2JZ-GE is NA, 2JZ-GTE is the TT): [qimg]http://www.mkiv.com/specifications/ncf/ncf93/ncf015.jpg[/qimg]
Harps
Welcome! Good to see someone else local! Best of luck finding the right Supra, definitely going the classiest way with the aerotop as well!
Guest Feegy
Thanks for that link Homer, well it looks as if the Wheels and tyres will have to Go, shame though, I'll just have to factor in some new ones, I suppose I could keep them for the wifes car when she gets fed up with her Volks 17's
Scooter
What size wheels does the N/A have as standard width wise? Some NA's come with 8" wheels all round, but generally they are 9" on the rear, with 225 and 245 (50) tyres respectively. On a NA you can get away with 8's all round, but i think the wheels may not sit right on the supra, they may shrink into the arches a little. Best to trial fit them on a friendly local members car to see what you think......
