Bobbeh
Poor guy, must be gutting after all that work to get where he wanted it, then for that to happen.
Scoboblio
Damn Reminds me of what I was thinking the other day. I know carbon fibre bonnets look great and are very very strong / light, but is this a good thing? Surely you lose a very important part of the front crumple zone by having an indestructable bonnet. scooby_doo_do
In all fairness, for a crash, the main compartment looks as though it coped quite well..just shows how strong the supra is .. At least he's ok. Imagine doing the same in a fiesta - he'd be pushing daisy's.

Chris Wilson
Gutting! Trd wide body too. I know i should'nt, but i couldnt help chuckle.......... You may well have cited the cause of the failure in the above....
Thorin
From reading through the thread, he'd had his wheels taken apart to colour code the same crappy brown colour as the rest of his car. They "weren't sure the correct torque settings" to put them back together again and he thinks the wheel fell apart (they couldn't find one wheel after the crash)... aparently he wasn't speeding either. Hmm yeah I don't believe that looking at those photo's. He's also mentioned committing suicide, and getting a big tattoo of his car to remember it by. Oh well. SupraStar 3000
"happened in joliet right after my show at route 66 after winning best toyota." thats awful :( If that was my car I would be thinking of committing suicide too! such a shame.

jason m
If you look at the pic of the rear of the car you can see the cause of the problem - its actually a pink one!
Chris Wilson
If you stick massively wrong offset wheels on cars to fill aftermarket body kits you are just begging for hub failures or suspension failures, the loadings are all wrong and very high. dandan
Yep, agreed. I thought you were making some reference to the kit itself.
Bobbeh
If you stick massively wrong offset wheels on cars to fill aftermarket body kits you are just begging for hub failures or suspension failures, the loadings are all wrong and very high. If you read what was suggested he was blaming the company who took his wheels apart to paint, and believed they didnt put them back together to the manufacturers specifications... as they wouldnt release the information. This could happen to any rim thats not been built correctly no matter what the offset is, may have encoraged it, but I wouldnt lay the cause with that reasoning. Pete
That's nasty alright, I can't believe how much the strut brace has been bent! I was just about to comment on that, looks like that may have helped keep the front together a little.... or it probably just folded like butter.
