hahahaha i was only messing. i would not swop supra for anything except a diablo with a sp76 turbo in bright pink

i do know the supra autos have 4 gears and they are real good in midrange. thats where i like it best. people like to compare 0-60 times of cars. how many people could get times like that on a stock car?

the supra in standard form was a good car but in decatted bpu mode its awesome as the americans would say

check out my DAWG DUDE totally awesome

or as craig daivd would say

PROPPER BO I TELL THEE

ps has anyone seen the new bo selecta christmas song. mate at work was saying its brilliant. and bo selecta 2 is out on dvd

Hardly fair ;)

Gaz.

Hey, that sounds like me at TOTB1.. fame at last! :p

One of those Fiestas ran a 14.8s 500m (c. 12.7s quarter) which beat Supras, a Skyline and a Viper on the day! Whack a big turbo on a big engine in a small car and it's gonna be mental quick, but at the end of the day it looks like a Fiesta!

Your right about the RS there is one kicking around which is very quick. Just the same as there are some very quick Escort Cossies around as well. I dare say if you asked the readership of Redline they would pick a Cossie over a Supra anyday but most are too young to know any better.

I've had a supercharged Elise with 220bhp and a TVR Tuscan with 380bhp and I was not at all dissapointed with the performace of the Soop. In fact for the money I think it's Fantastic.

I would still like a R34 if I could afford to tune it properly.

Just my 2p worth.

Cheers

Redline, fast car, max flower, all shite.

I stand by what I have said int the past about the gutter press.

Some little derranged 17 year old with slightly dodgy eysight bolts, glues and tapes half of B&Q to his car and thinks it looks good.

The writers for the waste of tree's mags then come take a look, rag it to death, laugh a lot to themsleves then write how great it is.

Then they all sit back in the office pissing themselves laughing seeing how many more muppets have made there cars look like shite on there "advice".

As has already been said any media product is about keeping its target audience happy. I'm sure the mail shots BMW sends to its owners has no mention of the McDonald's cruise and Kev's modified 1989 316i with M3 badges and a Halfords tailpipe.:p

This is no different, these magazines want to portray this image. If someone spends 20K modifying a Fiesta then compares it to a stock NA Supra its going to be quicker! If you spent 20K modifying a Supra then racing a standard Fiesta then that's going to be quicker too. :sly:

There was a video going around a while ago with a Supra beating loads of top end exotics that we enjoyed watching I guess its the same principle. :)

:stupid:

Those cars might be slow in relation to the Supra, but they aren't POS's, and they are fast in a general context, just not in context to the mighty Supra  . For a car to be fast in a general context, I have to define that I only mean for road cars at £80k and less, and for a person who isn't an F1 racing driver, but more for someone who works in an office and goes on trackdays, drag racing...:innocent:

Before I even uttered a words like the Supra is slow I would go and have a go in one and then come back and apologise to us all for being a silly billy:p

Okay a fiesta beat a Supe, I paid less than 10K for my car, how much did that Fiesta cost, how reliable is it as a daily driver and how shit does it look?

Question answered.

AVE IT!!:sex:

Likewise, the first week I had the Supra I had a bit of a do with a 355 and pulled away - that was when the car was standard too, wish I could have another go now :)

I still get beaten off the lights by 1.0L Fiestas though :)

One thing I thought I should point out is that although most think these mags are utter shite, it can't be forgotten that at least two of them have had, and moddified Soops in the past as project cars and therefore I don't think they have a bad opinion of them at all.:)

Plus not being funny as I'm not!!!:p but the supra has to be one of the most "Max Power" cars to most outsiders because of The Fast and the Furious.

I don't think we should always bang on about kids and there Fiesta's as I myself went through the "polishing a turd" stage when it was all I could afford, and I'm still into modding now with my Supra.

I'm not trying to completely defend these mags just give a different point of view.

Cheers
