Stock UK TT unusual noise(s)

First I’d like to wish everyone here a happy new year.

The other day, 2 minutes before reaching my parking place, the car started making an unusual sound. 2 actually :

1.while driving I could hear a slight hiss that SEEMS to come from the gear lever area but… hard to tell for sure while driving in traffic. The hiss only happens when my foot is completely off the gaz, as soon as I touch the throttle, even very slightly, the hisse stops. It also stops even with the foot off the throttle when driving below 30mph in 3rd, 20mph in 2nd and 10mph in 1st (approximately).

2.when I parked the car 2 minutes after what I just described before, I stepped out to open the garage door and noticed an unusual ticking sound on idle, this one is permanent but turns into a rattle after revving the engine (video attached) and SEEMS to be coming from the driver side of the egine bay.

Any ideas ?

I’ve heard that quite a few times now… there’s a little clip that holds the rod in place in the diagram below…get someone to Rev it and have a close look… it wears down….

So to fix it you need to replace the clip ? Could this also cause boost variations ?

So, little Update:

Keron's guess was correct about the location of the annoying noise (thanks for saving me time on that mate).

Unfortunately the damage is not the clip, it's the whole rod that broke, which was immediately confirmed when I drove back from the workshop since..... the 2nd turbo does not quick in at all anymore (Which I did not notice till then because I drove safely in low rpm before the diagnostic was confirmed).

Waiting for my toyota dealer to tell me if the needed parts can still be ordered. Not Serene about their quote I'm waiting for the labour 🙄
