Re using cam cover seals

The cam seals aren't affected when the covers come off as there is a bearing cap holding them in on either side, so you should have no issues. I'd probably replace the cover gaskets while your there though (if they haven't been done recently).

For £15 a pair from Toyota if you havnt done them it's best to replace. 

The old hard ones also cause the ends etc to crack on refitting. 

New ones are more supple and seal off nicely. 

Its something pitiful like 5>7ftlbs or NMs I can't remember off the top of my head.

Ordered some bro. Just to be safe.

Problem I had was time. As swapping covers next few days and wanted to attend a local show Sunday. But got a set on over night from Japan.

Not many have a low end torque wrench so its finger tight (2Nm) and a 1/4 turn. Best to torque again after a run.

Top man thanks!

Will lick edges with a bit of oil too to ensure they "slide" 😁 into place.
