sean17650199
Hi I'm looking to go a different route original plan was to turbo the car but I was wondering about supercharging it just to try something a bit different, I'm just wondering what would be needed and involved in doing this and if its possible as I've only seen one before and there not a lot of info about it. So if anyone has any info please let me know or if I'm just being an stupid and should turbo it also let me know. The car is a na auto only performance mods is full stainless exhaust. Annabella
I'd like to do the same, wether I ever will is another matter. As been said on here lots before though turbo'ing has been done many, many times before, been successful and higher horses, but with supercharging you get the additional power all the way through rather than a surge..... mc92
+1 seems like a cool power mod while being fairly unique. It looks like too much custom fab for me though, if someone ever makes a kit that'd be nice.

j_jza80
If you're dead set on it, look into using a centrifugal supercharger rather than a rootes type as per the DavidP thread. It will make things much easier. I've seen a few NA Supras with centrifugal superchargers come up for sale in Japan, I suspect they are using a HKS kit meant for the IS200/IS300

el_bandido
If you do use a positive displacement charger, I'd suggest looking at the Harrop units based on the Eaton TVS range. Much more advanced and much more efficient.
Nodalmighty
Not forgetting Whipple twin screw blowers.

David P
Simplest way would be to adapt the Toyota made M90 supercharger system from a 1G-GZE.
