linconhawk
Hi all, Just after a rough guide.... Can someone tell me what the revs should be at a certain speed in what gear etc.... I recently changed my dials it feels rather fast, lol... I think from memory, in 5th, doing 70mph gives me about 3000 revs.... Does that sound about right ? Many thanks

It changes significantly enough depending on which diff, gearbox and (rear) tyre size you have.
Chris Wilson
Can't you check it against a sat nav?
David P
There will always be speedometer error somewhere on the dial, pull the needle off, establish a steady 70mph with sat nav and pop it on @ 70. (A lot easier to do with cruise-control) Exact speed shown at the exact limit.
linconhawk
Thanks for all replies guys, much appreciated. I'm all sorted now, it turned out to be pretty accurate, about 2-3 mph out, which is good enough for me !! I guess it also seemed "fast" because I'm used to driving my van all day ! He he...
