drift_bear
I've spent the last hour removing the window tint and a big sticker from my new boot lid. Only problem is, I'm left with all the sticky stuff from the tint! I've got sticky stuff remover that I used after taking my dragonball wrap, but that doesn't seem to remove the window tint residue. Any idea what I can use to clean it all off and have a clean wi due I can see through again?!

sideexitsupra
I had the same problem. Tried everything. In the end nail polish remover was perfect. Didn't effect the heating elements.
drift_bear
I've been using a toothbrush and thinners, then wiping it down with a damp microfiber. Seems to work a treat!
straightsix
I used a hairdryer to soften the adhesive and plain old glass cleaner to get my window tints off. Nail polish remover is certainly worth using too. The missus went mad at me though for using the hairdryer
SupraP-Z
I used a wallpaper steamer and a Stanley blade to get rid of the rear window tints in my uncles car...took a while, but got there in the end! Best bet is acetone (Nailpolish remover), never tried petrol...but seems to work for most!

Doesn't bother me if I damage the paint cause it's getting resprayed anyway ethanol? Don't have any of that james
perpy1878
Iso propyl alcohol is good and safer than acetone if you get it on plastics
The-Plethora
I sat in the boot with the lid up and cleaned it with a pad dipped in white spirit, worked well enough and used a bit of meths as the end to clean the glass and it looks fine now.
