Fitting new cam cover sealing washers

5.5nm is not much more than finger tight as lee mentioned I'm just fussy and spend to much time checking exact torque figures and double checking etc..

 

The sad realisation I polish every nut and bolt as I have reassemble the engine parts

The stock bolts have built in washers under the heads, the washers look to be upside down. The moulded in metal part goes on top, under the bolt head. the plasticky / rubber sealing biits go against the cam covers. Personally I would put washers under cap heads to spread the load against the metal insert bits of the sealing washers, if you see what I mean?
