pedrosixfour Posted January 10, 2014 Share Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) Well I for one thought my big wing was lacking a little bit on the gay scale so today it has grown from 1400mm (55") to 1720mm (67") Basically from this: To this: (sorry about the crap pictures, I think my lens is cracked) I managed this wonderful little increase in gaiety with the help of fellow club member Dangerous, he kindly sent me the extension pieces & endplates from a wing he'd bought from Keron, he had no use for them & he'd spotted my enquiry to Keron about the origin of said extensions. I fashioned my own endplates out of 4mm polycarbonate to echo the lines of my wing's and I also made my own long bolts (M8 x 195mm) so I could mount the extensions directly to the wing's adjustable section with the result that the extensions are now also adjustable with no extra effort. I need to source some carbon fibre film to match the original carbon endplates & paint the heads of the bolts but other than that I'm gay & I'm proud. I think that puts me up around the same width as the APR GT300 wing now, mine is an APR Bi-Plane by the way, the same as the original F&F Supra (although that's of little consequence to me, I have it cos it was cheap!)
