Abz Posted September 23, 2013 Share Posted September 23, 2013 Chances are it is the dual mass flywheel. You can hear it on some cars when switching the engine off it rattles. Lightened flywheels generally equal more noise, apparently... This, mines got a aluminium flywheel and twin plate clutch and sounds like a bag of spanners at idle... supra steveo Posted October 4, 2013 Share Posted October 4, 2013 I think mine is starting to make a grinding noise now, only started on Tuesday and has done it 2 or 3 since tbh I think the box might be on its way out.
