I second that motion... hey, how about some vinyls for all the MKIVSupra.net cars? I know it's only an overnighter, but it would be really nice to know who's who, sort of a show of our solidarity on the day :D.

What about us MKiii interlopers :p :innocent: LOL

Sorry Bondy - none for you  ;) heh heh...

Didn't mean to exclude fellow MKIII lovers, I'm sure that if we did this, there would be a way to get around the IV and III issue :D. Looking forward to having a good gander at your cars.

I've been doing some runs with the Furball5000 lot lately :sly: and they brought some bonnet and side vinyls along for everyone, they were easy on and easy off, so I thought it would be cool...

Sorry everyone for veering slightly off topic.

I would be well up for it. Only trouble is, i dont want it messing up my paint work. All i have organised so far is a chalk pen for names. Stickers would be great. Please show your interest people. E.g. Stickered for bonnet etc and just glass stick with user names etc! If there is enough people interested i will organise getting them~!

Sounds good! my mates a sign maker, he said if we use the correct vinyl and if the paintwork is freshly waxed, the vinyl will peel off easily once were done.

one question: where will the funds for these come from? im guesing itll only be a couple of quid each.

I'm not too keen on vinyls unless someone will guarantee me they won't damage the paintwork (waxed or otherwise) or leave some sticky crap behind afterwards. Maybe just something stuck to the rear quarter windows or something similar would be less risky (and cheaper)?

Amen to that dude. Always liked the MKIII too.

Looks like we're not doing vinyls, just in case the cars develop a rash from them. Probably end up doing something like this :D

  • 3 weeks later...

a while back Jiversteve and Ben-san® posted up some info on page 9 of this thread about GB badges, headlight beam benders, warning triangles and other bits and bobs we may need to be carrying with us for the trip....

can anyone confirm the indefinate items we will be needing...?

for example,

  1. will we all require a little GB / EU sticker on the back of our cars?
  2. will we need those headlight beam adjusters?
  3. are we going to have any trouble with de-catted cars?
  4. does anyone know what happens if a member of our group gets done for speeding? is it endorsable on a UK liscence?
  5. will we recieve any trouble for number plate issues, ie font styles, smaller than standard plates, no front plate?

I took my scooby over and travelled just over 2000miles through france. It was fully de-catted and very loud.. They loved it....

As for lights, never bothered as I didn't do any night time driving......

I did fit a GB sticker, you can get allsorts, sticky and magnetic... Although again if you look at many cars travelling over there only hlaf have em.

Speeding is an on the spot fine, end of, if you don't have the cash then the police will escort you to a cashpoint...... And never open ya wallet with a wad, some of them will take it all..... As far as im aware its not endorsable in the UK

Triangles you can pick up for peanuts at halfords and a first aid kit is alos required i think.

The police are quite good over there, did a lot of runs a few years ago for certain things and never stopped....

I think we are alos travelling in groups/ buddies so as long as one of us has these we should be ok..

This may seem bit blase, but i have never had any trouble........ i think some of it comes down to the individual
