OEM Fog Light Switch Pinouts

Hi Fellas!

I am preparing my rear fog light conversion (according to this instruction: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?80479-Fog-Light-Conversions-for-beginners ) by using an OEM MKIV rear fog light switch.

The car doesn't have the plug connector fitted. I have to wire each pin on it's own. Does anyone have a pinout diagram for the switch or is anyone able to tell me which pin serves which purpose?

There are 4 male connectors and two which seem to be female connectors. I believe you have a + and - connector and one for the signal?

Thanks in advance:)

Hi Scott/Pulley

I have a UK Switch and the fog light conversion PCB's from Heckler and bascially I want to wire when up to work..... I have no problem in wiring the back end.... but the switch baffles me.... can someone tell me what wire goes to what pin and it's purpose (although I'm not too bothered abotut the purpose if it works :)

I am also guessing that the switch can be wired to the rear light warning on the dashboard as I have seen this in a Post by Mawby......

Sorry if this sounds basic and stupid..... but I don't know and would really like to do this

Thanks

Rob

Ok, I wonder if I have a different switch as I have 6 pins across the top of the plug end and 2 at the bottom... I have attached a picture not that is likely to help but thought it was worth a try....

Sorry Rob, I thought you was using a switch from a U.k spec. Mines the same as the picture in post one.

I can't upload pic, but if youlook from the back of the switch, thetop leftand bottom right are + feed from sidelight , second from left top unused, 3rd 5th and 6th are common -, and bottom left is + output

So pin 4 top from the left is unused also

Thanks for the reply and the PM, I think that actually makes done sense.... I'll have a look later.

Cheers
