I went for the 2.5 tonne one. I'd going to put a piece of wood between the jack and the car anyway so it doesn't rest on the metal plate/cup and also use axle stands so all I need it for is to lift the car to start with then help the stands support it.

The 2.5 tonne one was £45 instead of £90 for the 3 tonner so it made sense :)

Edit: Also I'm not going to put any kind of body kit on my car so this will be fine.

Thanks for all the help guys!

Can't work out how to work the f***er!

It's giving instructions on what you need to do but it doesn't show where they are. "Oil fill plug" but where the hell is that?!

I'm sure I'll work it out!

Forget all that. Just twist the handle clockwise before pumping up and anti-clockwise to lower, slowly!

Do you work in an office by any chance? :D

Yeah I do! I got all that and have done it but I wanted to release any air that's in there as it says in the instructions.

I'm normally good with stuff like this but the instructions don't show where anything is!

Gosh darn it!

As you look at the jack handle side, concentrate on the centre where the arm comes up from. There will be a plug, or a screw, or a bolt or something on there for filling it with oil. Unscrew this plug and then pump it a few times to release air. Once done pop it back on and give it a right good once over.

All I can find is an orange cap covering a bolt that says "do not adjust". In the middle at the top of the "cylinder" there's a little hole but it seems to be blocked off.

Just looking for the oil fill plug as it says "with a screwdriver, push the oil fill plug slightly to the side to purge trapped air from the system". I'm either being retarded or it's not there :p
