NA-T bits needed.

Hi there.

 

I'm thinking of doing turbo conversion on to my sup but i need to find some more bits, if you have any, drop me PM. Parts needed: Greddy Emanage Blue, 550cc injectors, intercooler with pipes and after market BoV.

-Injectors and Airflow sensors, the GE runs 330cc top-feed high impedance Denso-style injectors and uses a Karman Vortex air-metering sensor to read how much air volume is being injested. The GTE runs 540cc side-feed low impedance injectors (though uses a resistor pak to raise the impedance for the ECU's sake)... measured through a hotwire MAF sensor. The GE's airflow restriction is around 450hp from the stock AFM and the GTE is around 650-700hp depending on several factors.

after looking on clubna-t and doing my wish list it finished up with about 2k :/ if I would add 300 i could get tt transplant of Keron. Need to think about it.

 

£2k would barely cover it mate. The TT route makes so much more sense financially if you don't want more than 400bhp.

 

If you do want more than that the NA-T route isn't going to get much more anyway, but will cost an arm and a leg.

the way i look at na-t is the same way i look at going single on a TT lump. It costs alot of money to do it right using good parts

 

id say you would fair best with a TT swap, just my personal opinion :)

 

Agreed. There are also fundamental problems if you want to get into "TT-single" power figures with the NA lump, head, intake, etc. It just can't do it.

 

It all depends how far you want to plan ahead. If you are going to be forever satisfied with 300-400bhp and a compromised setup the NA-T is okay. If you think you will be inclined to want more the NA-TT swap is the one to go for.

 

Getting more than 400bhp with either method will cost a LOT of money, so best to start with TT setup in the first place since the start cost will be the same.

I've completed my NA-T conversion for around £1200 + road mapping. The car drives great, i havent had it on a dyno but judging by the cars i've had a play with i'd say its a good 380BHP @ 6PSI boost. I looked into the TT transplant but remember your only getting a stock engine, to get close to the power i'm running you'd need to go BPU which will prob be around £1500 extra for a decent exhaust, FMIC, etc. For me it was a no brainer £3500 for a BPU TT transplant or £1200 for a bolt on 380BHP done in my garage at home without ramps or powertools! Its the white Sup in the DEC issue of Japanese Performance. Scott
