steve spedd
make sure you get the right injectors for the na fuel rail, the TT ones dont fit.. i have some 440 somewhere but you need a resistor pack, i might have one of those too...
steve spedd
oh and give ricky a call, he might be have an Emanage Blue, or be able to suggest a different fueling system...

steve spedd
i was told that the TT 440 injectors ( i think) dont fit the stock NA fuel rail, am i wrong?

steve spedd
pretty sure they dont mate, the MKiii fit, but you need a resistor... they are 440's let me look into it...
steve spedd
-Injectors and Airflow sensors, the GE runs 330cc top-feed high impedance Denso-style injectors and uses a Karman Vortex air-metering sensor to read how much air volume is being injested. The GTE runs 540cc side-feed low impedance injectors (though uses a resistor pak to raise the impedance for the ECU's sake)... measured through a hotwire MAF sensor. The GE's airflow restriction is around 450hp from the stock AFM and the GTE is around 650-700hp depending on several factors.
mrgee2jz
i have some 400 or 500cc top feeds
Kirk
i dont mean to intrude on your thread, im just saying, do your research before going NA-T. There are alot of other factors to look at when doing this. Id also strongly suggest you get a TT HG and arp head studs
HadeS
if I would not going for more that 8-9 psi It will do the job realy well.
HadeS
after looking on clubna-t and doing my wish list it finished up with about 2k :/ if I would add 300 i could get tt transplant of Keron. Need to think about it.
steve spedd
its a close one as to NA-T or NA-TT mate... tough one...

Need to think about it. £2k would barely cover it mate. The TT route makes so much more sense financially if you don't want more than 400bhp. If you do want more than that the NA-T route isn't going to get much more anyway, but will cost an arm and a leg.
Kirk
the way i look at na-t is the same way i look at going single on a TT lump. It costs alot of money to do it right using good parts id say you would fair best with a TT swap, just my personal opinion
HadeS
The thing is... I would like to keep my engine as it's in very good condition, been rebuild in 2002, 45k kilomiters ago. But it just got no sens
Matt _Aero top_
this is what i have been wondering over for the past year or so whilst saving up . i finally settled on the NA-TT as i don't really want more that 400 ponys as homer said but what made my mind up is the reliability of it all
Kirk
ill take of it for you i need a good spare engine for 'stuff'
HadeS
hehehe... very kind of you, but I would be really happy to keep it and make a buggy project How much will you offer anyway ?

It costs alot of money to do it right using good parts id say you would fair best with a TT swap, just my personal opinion Agreed. There are also fundamental problems if you want to get into "TT-single" power figures with the NA lump, head, intake, etc. It just can't do it. It all depends how far you want to plan ahead. If you are going to be forever satisfied with 300-400bhp and a compromised setup the NA-T is okay. If you think you will be inclined to want more the NA-TT swap is the one to go for. Getting more than 400bhp with either method will cost a LOT of money, so best to start with TT setup in the first place since the start cost will be the same. HadeS
2k well spend would probably take my N/A too 350-400bhp where TT transplant would be investment for future. Which one would be more reliable? NA-t or TT BPU?
Supra_Scott
I've completed my NA-T conversion for around £1200 + road mapping. The car drives great, i havent had it on a dyno but judging by the cars i've had a play with i'd say its a good 380BHP @ 6PSI boost. I looked into the TT transplant but remember your only getting a stock engine, to get close to the power i'm running you'd need to go BPU which will prob be around £1500 extra for a decent exhaust, FMIC, etc. For me it was a no brainer £3500 for a BPU TT transplant or £1200 for a bolt on 380BHP done in my garage at home without ramps or powertools! Its the white Sup in the DEC issue of Japanese Performance. Scott
