The Raven
I dont like all these rules in dubai. Didnt they throw someone in jail for having codeine in thier system? Great looking place but they are going to have to relax some rules to turn it into the capital of hoildays they want it to be.

JustGav
Sorry this actually gets me narced... Do you expect people who visit your house to behave themselves? It is your house after all and you will have certain expectations, and would probably get a bit upset if someone came into your house drunk and acting lairy? They feel the same about their country. Why is it people expect others to tolerate their behaviour constantly regardless of it being good or bad?

The fact i was making was the women they done for the codiene had taken it in europe for a upset tummy. They drug tested her off the plane and chucked her in jail. They are pushing to turn Dubai into the number one place to be if you want a hoilday. That isnt going to happen when they put in place such hard line rules. I understand having strict laws to protect their country, but they have no common sense.

Guest turbospool
Dubai is one of the most popular holiday resorts and a lovely place indeed. I for one think the rules are great because it stops the n**heads visiting and spoiling others' holidays. Maybe some rules are overkill but I think overall it indeed makes it a better place definitely. Sex on the beach? Why the f*k when you know the rules = desperate or what? Hiding weed? F**kin junkyness! The difference is, in the UK they'd be let off hence they'd do the same thing again. In Dubai, they know you will hence they DON'T let you off lol! Makes sense to me tbh. And guess what, in Arabia, when all shopkeepers go to local mosque to pray, 5 times a day, they leave all shop windows / doors open without ANY real thought of being busted / raided. Now how much of a 'ideal world' is that?

Now how much of a 'ideal world' is that? Sounds quite a nice way to live TBH. People should respect the laws and customs of the country they're visiting. Problems start when people don't do this (either Brits going abroad, or foreigners visitng the UK). How hard can it be to all get along nicely and for foreign visitors not to wind up the locals?
