Some stripping

Wez

Recommended Posts

Little update :D

For anyone thinking about doing this, its worse than stripping the stock twins off, my hands look like mashed beef.

I no longer have a dual piller pod for my gauges so for a temp fix I have mounted them in the now free air ducts, doesnt look too bad. I had to extend some wiring for the boost gauge but apart from that it wasnt too tricky, took a little more time than I wanted though.

#1 - almost there

#2 - got the blighter

#3 - getting back to normal

Nice one wez :)

How much weight do you think you've saved by junking all that?

Still going to chop the dash up?

I have no idea, a fair bit I think but the cage will add it all back so just trying to get as much out as I can.

I am still looking to chop the dash in half and remove all the unused wiring but I need the car for Fri.

All good fun taking that lot out, Graham and I reckon we can do it in 3 hours (that is out and back in again) :)

Took me all weekend by myself, although its the first time I have done it. The dash goes back very easily, I thought I was going to have a mare with it.

Taking out the heater was easily the worse job I have done on the car so far.
