Soonto_HAS_soop
If your liquid is brown it needs changing. It would more than likely of been Toyota Forlife that has changed from Red to Brown. Go get some Forlife from Toyota and replace it.

Soonto_HAS_soop
Get 2 x 4 litres, it's not cheap, but I wouldn't put anything else in. It think it's about £17 for 4 litres.
Ian C
The expansion tank seems to pick up the brown stuff and store it, the colour of the coolant in the radiator itself is a better guide to how healthy it is. Cleaning out the expansion tank is a good thing though. Dishwashers rock -Ian
