adnanshah247
Went to a friends house and was there until late. at around 4 a.m. i heard my cars alarm going and looked out the window only to see 3 youths had broken in and were trying to hot wire it, car was about 50 metres from the house in the car park. i ran down and those b@st@rds saw me and made a run for it. they cut through the alarms wiring and some other electric cables under the steering coloumn and in the footwell. i spent £1500 on the latest Clifford Alarm and happy that i did so. the car was totally immobilised and wouldnt start the car due to the tampering. had the car towed down to my house and called clifford who sent an engineer to my house within 3 hours. he patched all my cables and re-wired my entire alarm to fresh. didnt cost me a penny thanks to it being included as a care pack in my alarm purchase. Horrible night and honestly im so pi$$ed off. my 4 years of hard work, saving up and sleepless nights could have vanished within 10 minutes. Be careful people!!! get your cars secured up. i bought a wall anchor with chain, steering wheel lock and wheel clamp. my Sup isnt going anywhere. adnanshah247
no they pulled the window back and used a coat hanger, it was left in the car! the door doesnt line up exactly with the body because it was pulled but its not huge and i can sort it easily. could have been worse off though. adnanshah247
they werent little dreamers, these were people who knew what they were doing, they screwed up because they thought my car wasnt alarmed, as soon as the door opened, alarm went nuts! the engineer who came down said they could have got it started but because i bought the biggest package there are in total 6 immobilisers and they only got through 2. TTRickeh
I'm happy for you that you've still got your Supe mate! Shame you didn't manage to catch them and deliver some justice though. Good service by Clifford it seems. Maybe invest in the optional flamethrower pack next time
adnanshah247
I do have to say though the POLICE are absolutely useless!!! they came down an hour or two after i called and the began asking me dumb random questions. i said to the police officer if you got here quicker you could have driven around and maybe spotted them, he turned to me and said we dont do things that way! seriously wanted to kik his head in! Pot
Blimey fella, there's not many things that piss me off more than little pricks stealing/stealing from/vandalising cars... Good thing you were still up at that time in the morning to hear your alarm going off, I bet none of the neighbours were looking out to see what was going on, people tend to ignore alarms nowadays... adnanshah247
police came over to my house today, told me that in the last 3 weeks there have been over 20 high performance cars stolen, witness's have said that there has always been 3 young men!!! spooky i guess i had a run with these scum bag mother f**kers! apparently the police have got a lot of cctv evidence, as soon as these pr*cks are caught there going straight to prison!!! hope they get shafted!!! Pot
I wouldn't count on it TBH mate, they'll probably get let off with 2 weeks cutting grass because they've had such a deprived life they have to resort to nicking decent cars so they can drive them... adnanshah247
true say, in the list was some r34's, brand new M3's and a lot of merc's. they have robbed a lot of expensive cars but they must be proffessionals coz most of those cars have trackers or the police is being lazy in tracking them. marcAB10
grrr.. It really p*sses me off hearing about this sort of thing.. These absolute thieving scum should be wiped off the face of the planet IMO!
colsoop
If you are paranoid about it happening again. Take the ecu fuses out too for extra security. It wont stop the little scumbags getting in but they wont be driving it no matter what they do. One thing i don't understand and it would probably be a good feature would be when installing alarms why they don't fit some kind of kevlar braided sleeve over the loom to increase the time taken to get at it. juanchan
Hope they get what's coming to them. Sorry to hear about the damage to your car, hope it's not too bad or expensive to fix. One thing i don't understand and it would probably be a good feature would be when installing alarms why they don't fit some kind of kevlar braided sleeve over the loom to increase the time taken to get at it. I think the main reason would be because it would double/triple the cost of the alarm, especially as stab proof kevlar would be needed. It's a good idea though, and does make you think. It's a good idea though, and does make you think. Doesn't need to be the high grade stab proof stuff, i bought a square metre of kevlar fabric a while back for £20 that would be enough to make a decent look protector. Maybe i should try and market the idea

Maybe i should try and market the idea How much would non-stab kevlar slow down someone with big enough tools? At the end of the day, if someone wants your car bad enough, they'll do anything to get it. But if there's anything around that will delay them by any amount of time, I'm all for it. Why not make some trial bits of wire to test the idea out? Market the idea and flog it to Clifford
lexsum
in my experience supras are stolen for kicks not profits. (and modded cars in particular stand out like a sore thumb.) it is also hard enough selling a legit supra never mind a stolen one. the merc and m3s are a different kettle of fish - these are stolen to order as newer faceless cars have a premium. still it is not a nice thing to happen to anyone and despite the vengence rhetoric you were best to chase off the culprits rather than risk injury to yourself. RedM
If the alarm went off as they opened the door and you only had 50m to cover, how did they have time to cut through anything? Was your wiring left out for all to see? It took a Clifford installer a good half an hour to work out where mine went. He said that it was definitely done by someone who didn't want the wiring tampered with. Personally, I reckon they bolted when they saw the Lambo doors. Even scumbags have standards these days!
