hoff
PM'd about an engine mate. Cheers mate I was going to pm you as I knew you had one, and thanks to everyone who has been in touch regarding an engine. I have though just come back from Thor as I have picked up Ian Haywoods (i think) old NA engine from them:) It appears to be very tidy and complete and low milage. My boss let me have the day off to fetch it. Thor are only a couple of hours away so got my mate to drive his van over to get it with me, just dropped it his and my GF's brothers workshop. We will start taking the old one out tonight hopefully, so thingers crossed it should be ready for Japfest this weekend:)

hoff
Just a thought:rolleyes: A facelift engine will fit into a non face lift car yeh:rolleyes:
Scooter
Just a thought:rolleyes: A facelift engine will fit into a non face lift car yeh:rolleyes: There is a slightly different wiring loom (engine side) not in the cabin/ecu area afaik.............but i assume you have all that included with the engine, so no problem there. Someone mentioned there is auto/manual difference between the throttle bodies..........i'm not sure if this will cause you any problem though
razza
good luck, hope you make it Japfest in your motor:)
hoff
Well, the engine is out. We were flying last night untill we came to seperating it from the autobox. Bit of a problem with a ceased engine and a conrod jambed between the block the crank and god knows what else. It made quite a hole in the block, even braking part of the air con housing. Anyway, after a few hours we got it out so tonight we will be going all guns blazing to get it back together:) A big thanks to Jamie (magictorch) and our mate Alan for popping down and helping me and mike (GF's brother). I think he has some pics which he will post hopefully:)
