Gaz6002
What pressure is the Blitz rad cap set to? Do your heaters work? As said, if it's loosing so much water then you should be able to see it coming out somewhere? Look carefully for leaks/cracks around the rad cap on the radiator (on the plastic bit) as that is a common point of failure.

Ian C
oil cap is ok no cream around it Sounds more like the gasket has gone between a water channel and cylinder then - water is being burnt off, no oil contamination in the coolant. -Ian
Digsy
You would be getting a lot of white smoke (steam) out of the exhaust if that was happening. Should be pretty obvious. Also the coolant system will probably be pressurising.
colsoop
Get it in the air and take the undertray off, they can mask leaks quite well. With the cover off you may be able to see more of whats going on under there.
Scooter
have you ever lost all coolant from the expansion tank, or are you topping it up every time it gets low?
daz
i am topping it back too full
molak
sounds like the head gasket to me. take it to a garage and test for hydrocarbons (un burnt fuel) in the coolent system.
Chris Wilson
The reservoir (expansion tank) will vent excess coolant if you over fill it. Top it to the minimum level, cold, and see what it does. The rad itself should always be brimmed full, cold.
Terminator
In older cars the original rad and matrix will show up weak points with a 1.3 bar cap. The under-tray will hold a lot of water, which will evaporate when the engine is hot and cooling fan is blasting hot air over it.
miko_supra
you haven't changed the coolant recently? mine had dropped considerably, i topped it up and it hasn't gone down since so i am presuming it was air trapped
