Freeware decimal to fraction conversion software?

Any use to you fella ? Converter1 And back again converter -
I second A-plan, if you tell them you are going to see a car with the intension of buying they but you are not 100% sure yet you can pay 10% of the premium which covers you for the day and then if you don't buy the car they will refund you the 10% The thing with A-plan is they base most of their quotes on your previous cars etc, so experience with high power cars as well as the usual gubbins that insurers use

Very nice mate, we have a guy that is a very good at archery and he bought some of his kit in.... Man some of those bows are VERY impressive, the really cool compound bows I think they are with pullies and what not on em. I want one but the missus won't let me
-
Agreed, get shot of it to the guy offering more than your reserve.... Alot of people watch but never bid so you are better off with the cash and not having to relist it

Defo sounds like Warped Discs or Wheel Bearings but you couldn't rule out that your wheels need rebalancing, maybe a weight came off or something.

Stunning car, absolutely love em!
-
Very nice touch mate, I like that alot

Could be any number of things..... A failing MAF can give the backfire effect, this should be sorted ASAP as this can result in engine failure!! At 4K I think the car has come on full chat hasn't it ?! Does your mate have a boost gauge? What happens to the boost when the misfire happens ?! Could be a shot spark plug! The coilpack on the early cars are mounted directly ontop of the spark plugs, well on the sides)

Not sure if this of any use to you mate but if you let me know what it is you want exactly I will be taking the dash off again in a few days with any luck and I will provide you with the exact pics you need.

Christ alive that didn't take long...... It takes you two days to change an engine and it takes my local garage 2 days to do a service.. hmmm go figure :S Nice work fella, just out of curiosity how much does a TT conversion cost ?!

Where am I getting my information from?!?! Knowledge of the cars and ownership.... not from the back of a magazine! For a start an 02 WRX scoob doesn't have the 2.5L engine in it, it is a 2L flat 4 as per the classics..... the only way that has the 2.5L in it is if it has been converted!!! The gearboxes ARE different, the WRX has a 5 speed box and the STI has a 6 speed box it also has different Diffs as well, the STI has DCCD so if he did have an STI he could manually shove most of the power to the arse end. The poster mentioned that the WRX had been modded, I can only assume that he has had the clutch replaced with something decent as the normal WRX clutches don't last long under high power and high Torque I've had a classic WRX running 310bhp, And Evo 7 GSR running 350bhp and a P1 running 333bhp (after EcuTek) and the P1 was quicker than all of them thanks to the magic of prodrive (again gearbox change from a std STI), it's not down to power alone, it's got alot to do with gearing! For example..... A massivley powered WRX would get battered down a drag strip by a significantly less powered STI RA due to it's gearing, fair play the RA tops out at about 120mph ish but the speed in which it gets there means the WRX has no chance at all and top end is insignificant in a drag race! You are also assuming that the Supra is a UK spec TT, it probably isn't a UK car making it a 280bhp car..... All in all you've got cars that will have very similar figures but the impreza will have traction and weight on his side and my money would be on the impreza, unless you are going to run miles in which case the supra probably would reel it in and then pass!
-
STI is by far the higher spec of the two, The STI comes as standard with 280bhp and the WRX came with about 240 in the UK I believe... might have been 260bhp.... and the STI has better/shorter gear ratio's for acceleration. Anyway A std TT will not beat a 280bhp Impreza off the mark, if you had enough road you might well watch and pass him but I doubt that would be easy either, once the scoob is going and he pays attention to the rolling road graph he has been given he will pull hard all day long....... Untill the bottom end goes Don't bother racing him on a public road mate, it's more agro that it's worth and you just never know who is going to be on the road, I mean, "The Plod" don't sleep mate! and you can't read the road properly all the time, if some donkey has been down there spewing sh*t out of their car you run the risk of ditching it etc! Just agree with him because he is probably right, get your modded a bit and get him on a drag strip (don't do it on track because he will nail you)

Gutted for ya , at the end of the day you are ok (minus the jarring of shoulder and neck) though and that is the main point!

You could make a life time supply of Toffee Crisps out of this thread

It looks like a neat little ECU and it really can't be that hard to shove it in and have a go at mapping it yourself surely, the website gives you everything you need Give it loads of fuel, wind back the advance and give it little boost and then work it out from there........ You could even get a base map to start you off. You'll need to know certain information for the car first like the perfect AFR (stoichiometric figure) etc but it's worth a laugh if you have the time you would also need to buy some extra stuff like Wide band Sensor, Det Cans or some form of knock detection (all of these can cost as much as paying someone to map for you) Personally I would love to do this to my next car, and probably will but there is no point in trying to map my litle N/A run around

Yep what I was thinking hence the "depends how quickly she noticed" LOL if she caught it before it went mental then it should hve been ok, but if she rammed it in 1st and then let the clutch out in fury that will be the reason for sure!! Oil Starvation is often the cause of these sorts of things, however shite fueling can cause this as well. There's no way of knowing what it is untill the error codes have been looked at. Don't just drop another lump in it or the same could happen
-
eeeekkkk defo sound like the bottom end is farked, sounds like my impreza when I shot the bottom end and just like my mates Z3m when he bent a rod... ooo eerr!! Dropping from in to 1st at 60mph could do some damage, jsut depends how long it took her to notice etc It might not have been the revs at all, when was the last time it was serviced?

Volvo C70, nice coupe with all the toys, can get a 2.3 T5 (the one to have) for that sort of money!

I have a similar problem at the moment although not quite as violent as yours sounds with the chucking me to the sides etc. I read somewhere that it could be something to do with the Anti Roll bar, the links or something along those lines (sorry for being so vague, am new to Supra ownership, ask me a scooby question and I'll give you a sensible answere LOL)
-
Cheers guys, will have a nose and see what it is exactly because it is really starting to wind me up! The only way to make the sound go away is to turn the stereo up louder LOL
-
Anti roll bar... I have a knocking fomr the back of the car and I'm pretty sure it's the ARB bushes that are shot, I have this thought becuase the boot rubbers/blocks have been replaced and the suspension is sweet as a nut. Any ideas where I can get some decent bushes from and how long it would take a simpleton (i.e. me) to fit them.... it looks like a 6 bolt job? Any help appreciated Cheers Tony
-
Cheers guys.. I don't really have any plans for her at the moment as the previous owner had most of it all done, I should think the only thing I need to do are full respray with body kit blending and I want to sell my 18" BBS rims as well

I all, well Ifinally bought myself a little run around... I bought Adams' Supra from him 'bout a week ago or so. The car is nice, needs a few things but I am more than happy with her... she sounds lovely The first thing I have done is change the head unit, well in the process of trying to.... In the name of all that is holy why did Toyota build a machine so gorgeous and then let Mr Okawa the plant alchy design the friggin double Din slot for the head unit........ It's a ball ache changing th unit and now my car is in pieces because I got bored of trying to fix it LOL
