  1. SOLD As the title suggests. VFCC \ FCD Got this for a friend of mine's car ages ago but we never got round to fitting it. Still in the original pink bubble wrap bag. Comes with the TRL Performance fitting instructions (as they all do) It's set up for a J-spec TT as far as I remember (not sure if the UK spec would be any different). If anyone knows what the settings are for these, I'd be grateful if they could post them. However it can be used on any car (that needs a VFCC) if you can work out what the settings are. I can put pictures up of this if you really want, but it looks just like every other Thor VFCC. I seem to remember they were £90 + p&p... And I'm fairly sure you can't buy them any more... SOLD
  2. ok, well if we don't get it sorted before then I'll take a look.
  3. Yes, I certainly wouldn't touch the discs if I'd done much more than move it around the drive to be honest. Do you know what discs they are (make \ model)? Are you going to SupraPod?
  4. yes, they would be. Are you going to SupraPod?
  5. Are these the pipes as seen in your garage? Did you polish them yourself?
  6. Could be air \ coolant going through the heater matrix (or the power steering (but not as likely)). This sort of fits your symptoms.
  7. Also, pillar pod? If so, let me know...
  8. Also, polished top rad hose? If so, I'll take it.
  9. I don't know if anyone else has asked as I haven't read the whole thread yet, but can you pm a price for the following please? (and I'll take them) polished rad cover polished battery and rad clamps polished fuse boxes HID front lights If it's a manual, then the gearstick surround. thanks,
  10. If the vents are the wrong way round: at best, you'll get brake fade at worst and if you leave it long enough you may cook the pads and the disks and need to replace both and maybe boil the fluid as well if you brake heavily all the time. Basically, it's a good idea to get them round the right way.
  11. Well, if Dave doesn't want them, can you PM me a price.
  12. You can't tell from looking at that picture. There are grooves on the outside of the disc (that you can see in the pictures above) and there are cooling \ ventilation vanes inside the disc (that you cannot see in the picture). It's the ones that you can't see that matter. If you can, take a picture looking down on the disc or up at the disc so you can see it end on. Otherwise, stick a small screwdriver in to the middle of the disc from the top and see which way it naturally slants (should be backwards) See attached images... In the (high quality photoshop computer generated reality) picture... the (red) direction of travel and the (red) direction of the vanes between the 2 faces of the disc matters. The swept back, like yours are (in blue) and swept forward (in pink) I've seen in both directions.
  13. As far as error 42 goes, most people have found this to be dry solder in the speed buffer (or something along those lines) See http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=143215 or http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=135739 or http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=72588 if you fancy a long read
  14. As was said in that other thread, the direction of the "pad scrubbers" (grooves) you can see in the picture above is less relevant. The important part is which direction the vents in the middle of the disc go. They should lean back with relation to the main direction of travel (forwards obviously). i.e. they should throw dust and heat out rather than force air in.
  15. Got to be honest, I'd get rid of it. A few friends of mine (incl. J with the mr2) have had French before and would not go back. It seems that peugeot just go out of their way to make things unnecessarily complicated. J had this 306 and I really wouldn't be surprised if you had to take the bonnet off to change the spark plugs. Having said that, Lindsey had a 106 for years and didn't really have any problems with it at all.
  16. You still having this issue? There's a guy in Hartley that does auto electrics. I don't know if he'd be able to do anything with this, as it sounds like it might be a main dealer thing, but he's very good so it might be worth asking him.
  17. Can I rent them for SupraPod? :D:D
  18. I might have to get someones number from the convoy so I can join you at Dartford.
  19. Don't know that many people will be able to do daytime during the week, and as supra_surj said, not sure many people could go in the evening... We can do a weekend, and these are the choices... These are the website prices, but I can ask about getting us a group discount if there are enough people... (from this and the other forums) Not sure the bike meets would be a good idea... 21. I did think that, but other than actually going to an event, every day is now fully booked until Sunday 16th November now. And even then, that date isn't shown on their calendar yet, so even that date could be out. We could make it a weekend, but then we'd all have to pay for entry to an event. It's normally £12 to get in, unless it's for the Truck Superprix (which is £17 in advance) or the BTCC (which is £22 in advance). I'm just not entirely sure everyone will want to pay that much for a car meet.
