  1. P.S. Sorry the pictures are a bit big! Would resize them, but.... I cant be arsed and I would rather go and waste money on petrol ragging my new pride and joy!!! Andy
  2. Hello all! Some of you may remember me from ages ago with a flip painted RX7? Came to one of your meets at the Fairmile? Anyroad, Ive finally got one this morning (a TT Supra that is!)! Picked her up this morning. Shes going to be a very special car. Nothing like the RX. Subtle styling, BIG BIG sounds, few engine tweaks here and there (although Ive already scared myself immensely with the standard power). Andy
  3. Yeah, mate, you and me both! £50k should do the job, lol. It would certainly build a nice Supra! Thanks for the support. Andy
  4. Yes, mate. The guy part ex'd this with some cash for the RX7. Its a great car. I took it on the pretence that it will be easier to sell than a modified RX7, and its one of those cars you gotta own at some stage. Although I still crave a big-powered Supe, so she has to go. Hows you, mcanny? Car running alright? Andy
  5. Thanks, Pete. Yep, the Honda-engined ones certainly dont hang around! Andy
  6. Hello all, Ive been after a turbo'd Supe for longer than I care to remember! Going to try to sell my car over the next month or so to afford one, but before I start advertising it (and spending God knows how much money with Auto Trader etc), thought I would see if anyone is interested in a swap / p/ex with my S Reg'd Lotus Elise. Certainly a different beastie from a Supra. Obviously nowhere near as quick on the straights, but its certainly a guru of all things corner-shaped! The car is in a maroon colour (quite rare and understated) with 67,000 miles, full Lotus Service History, front splitter, headlight covers, hardtop (worth £££s!), soft top, DVD player, 8" sub (bless!), stainless cat-back exhaust, upgraded air induction kit, enlarged throttle body, cream leather and a private plate. IF anyone is interested, please post on here, PM me or call me on 07725 723945. Thanks for your time! Andy
  7. Thats wicked, cheers Velocity! Geezabloke, nope, not missing anything fella! Although I kinda think I would prefer to swap as such, as I know its NEVER possible to sell a modified car for what it has cost you. It just strikes me as more beneficial when you get to the 'big boy league' of Supras, Skyline etc to get more for your money so to speak. Think I will stick the car on Ebay after the show season and see what happens!... Andy
  8. Well cheers all, again. And thanks for the wicked comments about my Rex. She certainly seemed to get a good dose of attention all day, shes become a bit of a publicity whore I think??? And yes, still on the Supra search... maybe one day.... sigh! Andy
  9. Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for all those that allowed me to 'tag along' yesterday morning from the Slough/Harvester meet. I knew noone going from my direction, so it was great to follow some people that knew the way and meet a few awesome cars and equally cool owners. You boys (esp. Sandeep) have done your club muchós credit, so thanks again, Im very grateful! Andy (the orange RX7 if 'Andy' means nothing to you!!)
  10. Gareth, A couple of pics to help your explanation! Andy
  11. For what it's worth, a Rex probably performs much like a Supra in terms of consumption... Drive it soft, and it will give you an average return for your over-priced, tax-induced Super unleaded. Drive it like Schumacher on a bad hair day, and it will eat up your wallet, and spit out your credit cards with no remorse! Im positive I could average 20mpg at least from my RX, and thats with around 70% sensible driving, 30% not-so-legal driving! Andy
  12. Cheers, Sideshow. Yeah, I have to admit, Iam coming round to the idea of the auto, I will definitely have to drive both for comparisson. Im kind of in the method of thinking that 90% of you wouldnt have autos if they were crap, so there must be something to them...... Andy
  13. Nope, shes still sitting proudly on my drive!.......
  14. I would definitely complain and stand up for yourself. I got issued 3 fixed penalty points for going through a red light (which for once I didnt! The pig mobile was at least 70 yards behind me, God knows how he would have known what side of a light I was on), went to court and was proved innocent, much to the little piggy's dismay. Not quite the same story, but goes to show there is a bit of hope, fella. Andy
  15. Cheers, dude, but Im totally confident. Fitted a few widearch kits, and fitting an Equiss kit to a E36 BMW at the weekend, so feel 'qualified; enough for the job. Thanks for the support though, mate! Andy
  16. How cheap is 'cheap' dude? Just roughly? Fitting is no problem, as i could do it myself! Result! Andy
  17. How much is this TRD wide archkit, and where could I get one from? Andy
  18. Thanks all, glad you all liked her! As Ive said before, she really is a cracking car, but just crave a change, and a Supra is clearly top of the bill! Sheena, get both? You've changed your tune! Lol!! (Sweet looking Supe by the way!) Andy
  19. To anyone who went this evening, it was good to (v briefly!) say hello to some of you! Some gorgeous looking examples there, boys and girls. Hopefully the Fairmile will be open next month so I can sit down and have a pint with you! Regards Andy (the orange Rex owner!)
  20. Very nice, Jurgen!... she looks a bit like mine?? Andy
  21. Cheers, Sheena! lol, I know they're not really boats! Michael started it by insulting my 19 inch wheels! Will definitely pop along... I know the Fairmile well, lovely food and drink!
  22. Thats a really detailed reply, thank you. Okay perhaps (again!) I was a little too hasty to judge the autos... What area do you live in, mate? I'll take you for a spin if you take me for one??? Andy
  23. Cheers, fella, thats proper kind of you to say so! I havent driven an auto, so I cant really comment, but I just dont know if I could live with having all that power going through an autobox. Honestly, what are they like? have you driven a manual as well?
  24. I see your original posting involved considering a RX7..... Whadya reckon, fella? Id be happy to sort a price out for the turbo replacement etc etc...... Andy
  25. Sorry, only just got home from work.... not allowed near forums there!.... Thanks for all your kind comments. They are all awesome! McCanny, I was just in jest too fella, no hard feelings?! I dont know, I really do love the Rex to bits (and HONEST truth, shes never not started for me once, and has never missed a beat, so In my experience, reliability is not an issue providing you conduct regular oil changes and decent servicing, which im sure you Supra owners do). Cobham, excellent plan, will definitely try to get down there, thank you for the invite, all!
