  1. Unless he's undergone a character transplant since I last saw Jurgen, I don't think you could be much wider of the mark. There is no place in this world for 'fanboys' who blow smoke up someone's 4ss, so when I say Jurgen is as genuine as they come and he's worked blo00dy hard to achieve all he has I don't say it lightly. I agree those seats look gash, but are you certain the seller you bought that Supra from had really used Jurgen's man to retrim those seats, or could s/he have just said it, to trade on someone who's got a good reputation? Jurgen has said they weren't anything to do with him or his contact - are you 100% sure they were? Either way, I don't see the issue in Jurgen putting his reputation on the line and taking people's seats in to be retrimmed, in exchange for what is almost certainly a tiny margin for the simple reason it wouldn't be a marketable service if the markup were taking the mick. No one is forced to use him, but he always sees to sort out any issues that are to do with him on the rare occasions that they arise - unlike many, less professional companies. If you manage to avoid middle men in every transaction in your life I'd be amazed. In fact, if you avoid even a handful, I'd be quite surprised. Anyway, I digress.
  2. Order the members list (under the "community" drop-down) by join date.
  3. Could it be a blocked injector, poor/no spark - something along those lines where one of more cylinders aren't getting the fuel they expect, so the ECU is trying to sort it (via what it sees at the O2 sensor, which will be misleading if it's an inconsistent fault i.e. the cylinders aren't behaving equally) and as a result is bu66ering up the fuelling and/or timing and/or throttle position - any and all of which could cause what you're seeing, AIUI.
  4. Congrats Peter! I was actually looking at the membership list the other week, ordered by join date, to see who'd been around the longest (and are still here). According to the mini-profile beneath your avatar, you've been here a year; 1/10th of 10 years.
  5. I've just realised I've mixed my dates up (in my head - everything in the thread is correct) - I thought this was this weekend but it's not, it's the day after DragonCol. I think I'll be all driven-out, but will see closer to the time. Who is considering going to this, next Sunday (14th Oct)? If it's dry maybe I'll still have a cheeky nip out to it and back home again, even after DragonCol.
  6. I don't read EVERYTHING on here Seen it now - congrats dude!
  7. Sounds good mate, welcome back to the fold When do you pick it up? When do we see pics?
  8. I sincerely hope it's a different car to your last Supra Greg!!
  9. Checking the link I found, there is a brief discussion saying they moved it from 23rd to 30th. I can't make it, sorry.
  10. Rich, not lean. It's an air:fuel ratio. So imagine it as 12 lots of air, per 1 lot of fuel. So fuel makes up 1/13 of the total mix. 18 air, to 1 fuel (starting to become dangerously lean) = 1/19 of the total mix. See? As I said, rich is safe®, lean is bad. 14.7 is perfect. less than 14.7 = rich, more than 14.7 = lean. Don't worry about being ~1ish eiethr side under normal conditions, and you always want to run a safety margin (run rich) when full or close to full throttle i.e. the numbers should down to around 11.x~12.x is the usual guidance.
  11. Not sure what our plans are yet, but there is a nice pub that does nice food, only a few miles away - the Admiral Rodney.
  12. Those numbers are ok, perhaps a little rich, for WOT. Don't make it any richer! All petrol engines all have the same ideal AFR: 14.7 under constant conditions (i.e. the car travelling at a constant speed at constant throttle position). Most tuners run things a bit richer at WOT just to be safe, as the worse that can happen is a lot better than if it started to run lean. A stock Supra runs quite rich under all conditions for some reason.
  13. (Your English is better than most UK members!)
  14. Fantastic mate; looks epic in the photos, bet it's even better when you're stood looking at it. I would buy new clothes every time I wanted to drive it, just in case I ever got any dirt on it or caused any wear.
  15. I've emailed the guys to see wat their appetite is. We're all aiming to have our cars race-ready in the next couple of months, so we can test them out at track/test days before the year is out of possible and certainly before the race season starts next year. What could you do the GPS bits for, if we all wanted them?
  16. You'd be surprised, the number of panicky "I've only just seen this!!" PM's I used to get about SupraPod a few years ago when I took the bookings, with less than a week to go, after it'd been a hot thread for 4+ months, was astonishing. (Not to mention annoying!) Me too. I will embrace my chance to remember Colin and take part in something like this to honour his memory.
  17. Keep bumping the thread, I suspect some people haven't spotted it yet. I wonder if all those who went to the funeral have seen it, and if not, if it's worth dropping them a PM. I'll research...
  18. I'm not after a room matey; having the kids with us means we'll head home so they can be in their beds. Jamie is welcome to stay at mine... I promise not to nick the GTR whilst he's asleep.
  19. There are 3 of us, I know at least 2 of us would want them and the 3rd probably would too. Is there is anything it can do to interface with the stock mk2 MR2 ECU (various revisions between us) or is it aftermarket ECUs only? I think we would like to monitor AFR as a minimum, pus as a bonus: water temp, oil temp, oil pressure... can't think of anything else vital when racing but you may know better from your experiences? Essential would be making use of the shift lights i.e. the dash 2 knowing the engine RPM. Plus the GPS sector timing gubbins too if we can stretch to it.
  20. I'd get rides in various single turbo Supras to feel what sort of power - and just as important, delivery of that power - you want to go for, before deciding on exact spec. Just buy one that's up for sale when you come to buy and strip then rebuild it if you want; you'll save £20k easily.
  21. That's good to hear; I was really sad I couldn't make the funeral so I'm glad we'll have chance to stop along the way and I can pay my respects.
